Socialist Sanders to Death Tax: ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’

Far left presidential candidate’s embrace of 65% estate tax highlights tax’s true pedigree.

(Alexandria, Virginia) — The non-partisan 60 Plus Association, America’s largest center-right seniors advocacy organization with over 7.2 million supporters nationally, today issued a statement blasting Socialist/Democrat Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders for his proposal to hike the death tax to a top rate of 65% and lower the exemption by 30%. Currently the top rate sits at 40%.

Seniors Cheer Death Tax Repeal Vote in House

239 – YEA, 179 – NAY

Jim Martin: “America owes a debt of gratitude for all the Members who stood strong against all the false rhetoric to support complete and total repeal of the death tax.”

 (Alexandria, Virginia) — The 60 Plus Association, the nation’s largest right-leaning seniors organization with over 7.2 million supporters today cheered the House passage of Rep. Kevin Brady’s (R-TX) Death Tax Repeal Act of 2015, H.R. 1105, which passed by more than 60 votes on a bi-partisan roll call of 239 in support with 179 opposed. It was the first vote on the repeal of the death tax in 10 years, which last occurred in April of 2005.

Bi-Partisan Bill to Kill the Death Tax Has Strong Support from Seniors
