Congressman Renacci Earns Award from Seniors for Stance on Tax Reform

“We thank Congressman Renacci for his work for seniors and hope his colleagues in Washington will follow his lead.”

(Wadsworth, OH) – Congressman Jim Renacci (OH-16) has been presented with the Guardian of Seniors’ Rights award by the 60 Plus Association, a non-partisan organization representing more than 7.2 million seniors. 60 Plus Ohio Director, Dwight Crum, hands the Guardian of Seniors’ Rights award to Renacci.

The award is based on Renacci’s support of seniors, including his stance as a vocal leader on the need for tax reform to create jobs and stimulate the economy.

“Congressman Renacci has been a strong leader for Ohio’s seniors,” said 60 Plus Association Ohio Director Dwight Crum. “He has been a strong advocate for family-friendly tax reform that will help businesses and the economy grow.”

Crum said the challenge of economic uncertainty caused by America’s outdated tax polices grows more daunting each day.

“Our seniors have worked hard to create and preserve the America we know today,” Crum said. “The challenge before us is to continue that legacy by ensuring our nation is one of hope and opportunity for generations to come.”

“It is an honor to have the 60 Plus Association recognize me with the Guardian of Seniors’ Rights award,” Renacci said. “As someone who has spent the majority of my life championing seniors’ rights, I will continue to use my past work experiences in an effort to advocate for lower taxes and give seniors the quality of life they deserve.”

Crum said America’s tax code has not seen a substantial overhaul in nearly three decades. But with leaders like Congressman Renacci, there is hope that meaningful tax reform can be achieved.

“We thank Congressman Renacci for his work for seniors and hope his colleagues in Washington will follow his lead and work on substantive tax reform this year,” Crum said.
