Jim Martin, “America’s most trusted profession knows a sick patient when they see one, they know our nation is in urgent need of care. Further, 15% of doctors are switching their votes from Obama in 2008, to the President’s opponent this year.”
(Alexandria, Virginia) – America’s doctors have voiced their opinion on fixing the current woes facing the nation with a simple old fashioned prescription; vote for Mitt Romney and call me in the morning.
A new survey sponsored by Jackson Healthcare shows that by 55% to 36%, doctors favor Mitt Romney over President Obama, in large measure due to the President’s healthcare overhaul which places tremendous government burdens on the way and manner in which doctors can practice medicine. Further, 15% of doctors are switching their votes from Obama in 2008, to the President’s opponent this year.
Other reasons cited by the survey include ‘leadership style, failure to follow through on campaign promises, unemployment and the general state of the economy.’
Said 60 Plus Chairman Jim Martin, “Doctors are by far the most trusted profession in America, and just like we trust them on what treatments and medicines to take for our own welfare, we would all be well served to trust their judgment on what is best for the future of medicine in America. Their overwhelming preference for Governor Romney is as clear a signal there is that Obamacare is bad medicine for all of us.”
In August, the Doctor Patient Medical Association poll determined that a staggering 83% of physicians have considered leaving the practice of medicine because of the burdens and obstacles placed on their profession by Obamacare.
“Obamacare adds 30 million new people to the healthcare rolls without a provision for adding a single doctor. After 11 years of higher education, America’s doctors now have to look forward to government bureaucrats telling them how to do their job. This is going to be the legacy of Obamacare if it is not repealed and replaced; chasing the best minds from the medical profession. which will lessen the quality of healthcare for every American, forever.”
