Martin and 60 Plus Applaud Trump Plan to Kill the Death Tax

(Alexandria, VA) – 60 Plus Chairman and Founder Jim Martin issued the following statement in response to Donald Trump’s proposal to end the Death Tax during his August 8, 2016, speech to the Detroit Economic Club:
“Donald Trump understands the crushing burden of the Death Tax on middle-class families and small businesses, and we applaud his proposal to abolish the Death Tax. His plan would help revitalize the sluggish Obama-Hillary economy by letting lower-and-middle-income Americans preserve their families’ security for future generations, creating jobs and saving family farms and businesses.

Hillary Clinton wants two sets of rules for America. Hillary gets to short-circuit the Death Tax with an army of lawyers and accountants to protect her fortune while the rest of us have to deal with the Death Tax. Someone needs to tell Hillary that death should not be a taxable event.

Donald Trump’s proposal to abolish the Death Tax creates greater independence for American families, while Hillary Clinton wants to confiscate the fruits of our life’s work to make us more dependent on big government. That’s just wrong and it needs to change.”
