Seniors Stand with Sen. Ted Cruz

Jim Martin: “It’s time EVERYBODY got an exemption from Obamacare.”

(Alexandria, Virginia) — The 60 Plus Association, the nation’s largest conservative seniors organization and acknowledged alternative to the liberal AARP, today issued a statement in support to Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and his efforts on the Senate floor to stem the funding and implementation of Obamacare. Said 60 Plus Chairman Jim Martin:

“Senator Cruz is courageously taking the mantle of leadership and standing up for Americans of all stripes and from all walks of life who have stated loudly, clearly and exhaustively they do not want the train wreck of Obamacare ruining their medical care, taking their jobs and stealing their freedoms.

“With its $716 billion cut to Medicare and recipe for doctor shortages, higher costs, delayed care and rationing, senior citizens are most vulnerable to the impact of Obamacare. They in turn are most grateful to Senator Cruz for his principled stand to return basic common sense and fairness into the halls and back rooms of Congress.

“Senator Cruz is helping the American people achieve what the Washington elites, labor unions, IRS employees and members of Congress and their staffs desire most of all — an exemption from the costs and mandates of Obamacare.  If it is good enough for the people who created and passed this coming train wreck to avoid the impending disaster it promises then the same exemption is good enough for the American people.

“On behalf of the 7.2 million senior citizens represented by the 60 Plus Association, we offer our most sincere gratitude to Senator Cruz for reminding Washington that the people come first, and the people do NOT want Obamacare.”
