60 Plus Association Releases TV Ad on Republican Primary Candidate’s Misleading Claims of Military Service

ALEXANDRIA, VA — This week the 60 Plus Association will begin running television ads in Arizona highlighting gubernatorial candidate and former GoDaddy counsel Christine Jones’s misleading claims of military service.

The ad states:

Official Department of Defense records show that Jones was never in the Air Force, but listen to her own words.

I went there to join the Air Force – Christine Jones

I went off to be in the Air Force and I met a really nice guy… who was also in the Air Force… I got out, he stayed in. –Christine Jones.

60 Plus Association Chairman Jim Martin, a former Marine, said, “Christine Jones’s claims of service in the Air Force are a cynical attempt to garner votes in a tight primary race.  She dishonors all the members who wore the uniform of our nation.”

The ad will run statewide in Arizona on broadcast and cable beginning July 25.
