60 Plus Challenges Outcomes of Senators Sherrod Brown and Bill Nelson’s Support for Government Spending in New Ad

Senior advocacy group places $2.1 million ad buy

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The 60 Plus Association, nationally recognized as the conservative alternative to the liberal AARP, today launched a new TV ad campaign that challenges the outcomes of Senators Sherrod Brown and Bill Nelson’s votes for the failed $831 billion stimulus and Obama’s health care takeover.

“Seniors and their families are facing serious and regressive challenges as a result of Senators Brown and Nelson’s support for unbridled government spending,” said Jim Martin, Chairman and Founder of 60 Plus, in announcing the ad buy.  “The bailouts and bureaucratic takeovers supported by Senators Brown and Nelson have increased joblessness in Ohio, Florida and across the country, failed to alleviate skyrocketing health care costs, and put our families’ interests and liberties at risk.  Taxpayers need real results, not the empty promises that come with big-government spending.”

In Ohio, the $1 million ad buy will run statewide from June 6 to June 12.  In Florida, the $1.1 million ad buy will run statewide from June 6 to June 19.
