60 Plus Joins Forces With Conservatives Nationwide to Push for Tax Reform

Statement by 60 Plus Association Founder and Chairman Jim Martin on Signing the Middle Class
Growth Initiative Letter to Congress

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia (September 6, 2017 — 60 Plus Association Founder and Chairman Jim Martin today released the following statement on the organization’s latest efforts to fight for tax reform:

“I’m proud and pleased that the 60 Plus Association is among two dozen
organizations calling on Congress to grab this once in a generation opportunity
to reform our tax code. The signatories to our Open Letter to Congress represent
tens of millions of conservatives who want the same thing: a simpler, fairer tax
code that makes America competitive, eliminates global tax penalties that stifle
growth, and strengthens the middle class by reducing the tax burden on working
families and abolishing the Death Tax.

Tax reform is the tonic that will reinvigorate America’s economy and the time for
reform is now. Congressional conservatives must now demonstrate the courage
of their convictions and pass a tax reform package this fall.”
