Georgia – The ONLY Check on the Progressive Left

“There is no question that Barack Obama is a clever and glib fellow. There is also no question that some of the most foolish, dangerous and horrific things done around the world in the past hundred years have been done by clever and glib fellows.”

– Thomas Sowell

Georgia U.S. Senate Races: Nothing is more important. Both the Democrats are out of the mainstream leftist progressives, who support the radical positions on the far left. The only “check” on a run-away left wing progressive agenda is to have a check on the Executive Branch and Congress…hence a Republican controlled Senate that would require moderation and compromise.

Give, volunteer and help in any way you can. Our way of life may truly depend on it.

Fraud & Irregularities: It’s frustrating for many as we push to have all legal votes counted and ensure that any illegal votes are NOT counted. There are two primary question we have to ask and ultimately deal with:

Fraud – is there enough evidence to prove that there was enough broad-based fraud to overturn the elections?  If it is “in the computer software” this could be verifiable. Now it’s up to the court to determine if Rudy Giuliani and Sydney Powell can prove their case.

Irregularities & Potential Fraud – can state legislators in many of these key states pass laws to “clean up” the process and make sure we don’t have these questions and challenges going further? What can be done…well some easy steps include:

  • Require valid ID for voting
  • Verify signatures/witnesses for Absentee Ballots and Mail-In Ballots
  • Allow bi-partisan poll watcher/challengers with specific procedures
  • Forbid any counting without bipartisan poll watchers/challengers being present
  • Ban voter “harvesting” to protect the “chain of custody” for ballots to reduce the potential for fraud
  • Allow early, confidential counting of early and AV ballots before election day
  • Remove dead people from voting roles within 30 days of state/county death certification
  • Secure, test and verify vote counting software regularly
  • Prosecute voter fraud making it an unacceptable act against our democratic foundation

These are just some of the most basic reforms that should be easily adopted on a bipartisan basis.  Everyone claims they want to have fair and honest elections, so let’s make sure this never happens again.

Student Debt: You borrowed it, you pay it back. I did AND helped my kids do the same. Taxpayers should NOT be liable for your student debt.

Why the Riot and Attack People: ANTIFA and BLM continue to look for trouble and make an effort to harass diners, sucker punch the elderly, harass Trump supporters, and burn buildings while gleefully looting their own neighborhoods. Liberal progressive Democrats who refuse to apply the law to these violent leftish are normalizing their political violence.

There are NOT rioters on “both sides.” This is a leftist tactic that got out of hand and they have no way to rein in back in. Thank your friend who voted for the Democrats.

Harvesting the 2020 Election

The Trump campaign is pressing its case that last week’s ballot counting was off, and it will get its day in court. But if Republicans want a fuller accounting of the shenanigans, they’ll need to look much further back than Election Day. They’ll need to internalize Nancy Pelosi’s H.R. 1, and then do battle.

House Resolution 1 is the designation for the first bill unveiled in any new Congress. It’s designed to highlight the majority party’s top priority. In early 2017, the Republican-led House gave the title to Donald Trump’s tax reform. When Mrs. Pelosi retook the speaker’s gavel in 2019, her party had just campaigned on a slew of urgent Democratic priorities: health care, climate change, immigration, student debt. None of these rose to the honor of H.R. 1.

Instead, Mrs. Pelosi unveiled a 600-plus page bill devoted to “election reform.” Some of the legislation was aimed at weaponizing campaign-finance law, giving Democrats more power to control political speech and to intimidate opponents. But the bill was equally focused on empowering the federal government to dictate how states conduct elections—with new rules designed to water down ballot integrity and to corral huge new tranches of Democratic voters.

NRSC: Warnock, Ossoff Should Stop ‘Inflammatory Language’

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) said in a statement on Sunday that Georgia Senate Democrat candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock should stop their “inflammatory rhetoric” that feeds into increased attacks against conservatives.

The NRSC released its statement as Antifa, Black Lives Matter (BLM) supporters, and leftists attacked Donald Trump supporters at the Million MAGA March this Saturday.

The NRSC criticized Warnock and Ossoff, both of who hope to unseat Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) and David Perdue (R-GA) during the Georgia Senate runoffs in January.

The Republican group contended that Ossoff and Warnock’s rhetoric has fed into violence against conservatives.

Breitbart News reported that Warnock said in a speech right before the 2016 presidential election that “America needs to repent for its worship of whiteness.”

“If it is true that a man who has dominated the news and poisoned the discussion for months needs to repent, then it is doubly true that a nation that can produce such a man and make his vitriol go viral needs to repent,” Warnock said in an address at Atlanta’s Candler School of Theology right before the 2016 presidential election.

“No matter what happens next month, more than a third of the nation that would go along with this is reason to be afraid,” Warnock emphasized. “America needs to repent for its worship of whiteness on full display.”

Demographics Are Not Destiny

There is much about this election that everyone got wrong, way wrong. But the one thing that sticks out the most to me is a drum leftists have been beating for decades – that demographics are destiny. On November 3rd we saw, once again, that they are not; that people are individuals, not their skin color, and vote however they damn well please. Democrats are not prepared for this.

The idea has been around for a long time, but it’s really come into furious focus in the last decade. The Republican “autopsy” after the 2012 election bought into this leftist idea that as the country became “less white,” they’d have a harder time winning elections. Their idea was to play the game Democrats ran – pander to Hispanic voters by softening on illegal immigration. This was a stupid concept then, and it’s been proven so now.

When given the choice between Democrats and Democrat-lite, people will choose the Democrat. If it’s a race between a Democrat saying they’ll have the government give you a dollar and a Republican who’ll have the government give you fifty cents, the Democrat promising the dollar will win every time.

The problem isn’t just the promising of something “free,” but it’s that Republicans are offering less but still something. They’ve ceded the concept that government should be giving people something in the first place, and given the choice between two candidates promising to give you something, why would anyone choose the one offering less?

Democrats Are Reaping Fruit Of Years Of Anti-Trump Conspiracy Theories

If taking claims to court undermines democracy, how to defend Democrats’ vociferous and repeated claims that Donald Trump stole the election in 2016 with the help of Russia?

A prominent liberal legal academic who spent the last four years pushing outrageous, discredited, and debunked conspiracy theories about Donald Trump stealing the 2016 election said on Fox News Sunday that refusal to accept the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election threatens the country.

“He is undermining democracy because there are millions of people who will believe him even though there is nothing to his arguments and no evidence to back them,” Harvard Law professor Laurence Tribe said of President Trump’s litigation regarding the November election.

As Trump and many of his 74 million voters express concern about the security of the 2020 election, in which many states rushed to expand mail-in balloting while dramatically lowering scrutiny of mail-in ballots, many media figures have condemned their efforts to litigate the results.

Irregularities ‘need to be looked at in a court of law’

In an effort to sweep their president-elect right into the Oval Office, the media has chosen to completely disregard the basic fundamentals of the legal process.

Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett broke down the process and blasted the media for failing to report on the process objectively, further destroying their credibility.

“The unabashed arrogance of the media was on full display today as they were demanding to see the evidence. They’re not entitled to see the evidence,” he said. “Evidence is presented in a court of law. Eyewitnesses, affidavits sworn under penalty of perjury. That’s how the legal process goes,” Jarrett said.

Though the left-wing media refuses to roll with the punches, Jarret urged that the legal process is underway.

“So, as Giuliani pointed out, he has to go state by state. It takes time. It’s taken 2 weeks to gather that evidence and now he is going about the arduous task of presenting it judge by judge, jurisdiction by jurisdiction,” he added.

Jarrett warned that there are major concerns and legitimate questions about voting irregularities – and outright fraud – that need to be addressed in a court of law.

Why Were The Polls Off? Pollsters Have Some Early Theories

At some point on election night 2020, as CNN’s “KEY RACE ALERTS” rolled in and the map turned red and blue, things started to feel eerily like election night 2016.

Specifically, it was that déjà vu feeling of “Huh, maybe the polls were off.” It was a feeling that grew as states such as Iowa and Ohio swung even harder for President Trump than polls seemed to indicate, key counties were tighter than expected and Republicans picked up one toss-up House seat after another.

Yes, Joe Biden ended up winning, as forecasters predicted. But polls overestimated his support in multiple swing states — not to mention the fact that Democrats both lost House seats and didn’t win the Senate outright, despite being favored to do the opposite.

It will likely be months until pollsters can study this year’s misses thoroughly (a comprehensive study came roughly six months after the 2016 election). However, for now, pollsters have some educated guesses about what may have thrown polls off.

“All Speech Is Not Equal”: Biden Taps Anti-Free Speech Figure For Transition Lead On Media Agency

For those of us who have been critical of the growing anti-free speech movement in the Democratic Party, the Biden transition team just took an ominous turn. The New York Post reports that Biden tapped Richard Stengel to take the “team lead” position on the US Agency for Global Media, including Voice of America, the Middle East Broadcasting Networks and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. As I previously addressed in a column, Stengel has been one of the most controversial figures calling for censorship and speech controls. For a president-elect who just called for everyone to “hear each other,” he picked a top aide who wants to silence many. Since it would be difficult to select a more anti-free speech figure to address government media policy, one has to assume that Biden will continue the onslaught against this core freedom as president. This is not the first Biden aide to indicate a crackdown on free speech in the new Administration and Biden himself has called for greater censorship on the Internet.

Last year, Stengel wrote a chilling Washington Post op-ed that denounced free speech as a threat to social and political harmony. Like a number of liberal and Democratic figures, Stengel struggled to convince readers that what they need is less freedom: “All speech is not equal. And where truth cannot drive out lies, we must add new guardrails. I’m all for protecting ‘thought that we hate,’ but not speech that incites hate.”

The FBI Spying Denial That Never Grows Cold

Four years after the FBI sent “Confidential Human Sources” secretly to gather information on Donald Trump’s team, the president’s opponents in politics and the media continue to deny that the bureau spied on his 2016 campaign. They are now using that denial to dismiss questions of voting irregularities in the 2020 election by arguing that Trump and his allies traffic in outrageous falsehoods for partisan purposes.

During the vice-presidential debate, Mike Pence said, “When Joe Biden was vice president of the United States, the FBI actually spied on President Trump and my campaign.” The response from NBC “fact checkers” was to declare that “Pence repeated a false claim that Trump made during the first presidential debate – accusing the Obama administration of spying on their 2016 campaign.”

At Politico, Kyle Cheney and Andrew Desiderio caricatured the accusation of spying as alleging “Biden was a mastermind of an effort to spy on Trump’s 2016 campaign,” saying it was a story “riddled with falsehoods, exaggerations and assumptions.” By pressing accusations of spying, the president has politicized “institutions in a way that will leave lasting damage,” Politico quoted Democrats saying. The outlet warned, “Trump may exacerbate that strain in the coming weeks.”

…In response to the Horowitz report, FBI Director Christopher Wray did not admit the FBI “spied,” but he did acknowledge the bureau “did not comply with existing policies, neglected to exercise appropriate diligence, or otherwise failed to meet the standard of conduct that the FBI expects of its employees – and that our country expects of the FBI.”

Cancel student-loan debt? That’s making the working class subsidize the elite!

One good rule of thumb is to judge parties and politicians by their priorities. Look at which things they actually work to achieve or spend political capital on. This will tell you not only what they’re really for, but which constituents they really care about.

By that metric, it will be very revealing if one of Joe Biden’s first actions as president will be to forgive student debt.

That’s an idea swirling around Democratic circles — particularly among the progressive base. The base turned out for Biden, and now they want their pay-off — literally so, in the case of massive debt forgiveness.

Last week, a coalition of 236 progressive groups led by teachers unions called on Biden to cancel student debt on his first days in office. Biden himself has already urged Congress to cancel $10,000 as part of a pandemic relief package.

Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have called for even greater debt forgiveness. Sanders’ plan would cost an estimated $1.6 trillion dollars.

I think it’s a bad policy, and bad politics. Start with the policy: As economists on the left and right will tell you, the economic cratering caused by the pandemic is not like a typical recession. In normal times, bailing out businesses is a bad idea because, among other things, it creates what economists call “moral hazard” — incentivizing bad decisions people make when they think someone else (i.e. taxpayers) will pick up the tab.

What they DON’T tell you about Covid and how the facts can be twisted

What they DON’T tell you about Covid: Fewer beds taken up than last year, deaths a fraction of the grim forecasts, 95% of fatalities had underlying causes… and how the facts can be twisted to strike fear in our hearts.

Despite the fearmongering, the number of Covid-19 deaths is significantly lower than the peak back in April.

Latest ONS estimate shows that in the week ending November 14, new infections were already levelling off.

Both Parties Scored Legal Wins Before Election, but Not Always Political Advantages

In a flood of litigation that began months before the presidential election, Democrats won legal claims aimed at protecting the right to vote during a pandemic, while Republicans won others in the name of ballot security.

Neither side’s victories always translated into an electoral advantage, though they did result in wide-ranging rules that made casting ballots easier in some parts of the country than in others.

Republicans and their allies succeeded in stopping any extension of deadlines for the receipt of mail-in ballots in Wisconsin and Michigan, measures that Democrats and their allies pushed for in court. Democratic President-elect Joe Biden carried the battleground states, leading in Wisconsin by about 20,000 votes and in Michigan by more than 150,000.

Meanwhile, Democrats and voting-rights groups beat Republicans in litigation in North Carolina, securing an extended Nov. 12 deadline for ballots mailed by Election Day and a process by which voters could fix inadvertent errors on their absentee ballots.

President Trump still won the state by about 74,000 votes. GOP Sen. Thom Tillis retained his seat in a race seen as key to Republicans’ hopes for retaining the Senate.
