Forced Union Membership: Public employees are finally free to make their own decisions about union membership. For decades, government workers in many states could be fired for refusing to financially support a labor union. Thankfully, the U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled in Janus v. AFSCME, 585 US (2018), that public employees can no longer be required to pay union dues or fees as a condition of employment. Check it out!

If corporations and various institutions want to engage in politics, let their individual members engage, demonstrate, vote, etc. These institutions, be they corporations, schools or others should get “Back to Neutral” when it comes to politics.
In politics and therefore government, we look for consensus in setting public policy. But when it comes to corporations and various institutions, you have true mob rule, rather than respecting the interests and will of the minority (and sometimes majority) depending on who is in charge.
Public institutions of all kinds should get “Back to Neutral” when it comes to politics.

Liberal media gushes over pro-choice demonstrations after ripping parents protesting school boards
Parents were previously called ‘maniacs’ and ‘threats to democracy’
Members of the liberal media, who repeatedly labeled parents protesting their local school boards as dangerous and racist, now appear to have much more enthusiasm for the pro-choice activists outraged by the recent leaked draft opinion striking down Roe v Wade.
Following Attorney General Merrick Garland’s order for the FBI to investigate possible threats and acts of violence against school board officials as “domestic terrorism,” MSNBC ran numerous segments emphasizing videos of parents yelling at school boards, often providing ample commentary for viewers to chew on.
In October, MSNBC fill-in anchor Jason Johnson wondered if White nationalism was behind the high-tension scenes playing out across the country.
“To me, is this really about people being upset about mask mandates or are there sort of underlying disruptive forces, White nationalists, anarchists, whatever, in this country, that are using mask mandates and a public health crisis to sort of wage chaos?” Johnson asked.
Meanwhile, “11th Hour” host Stephanie Ruhle pondered how the “rage” and “anger” of parents protesting school boards could be impacting their children at home.
During a particularly scathing critique of concerned parents on “Deadline White House,” host Nicolle Wallace and panelists David Jolly, A.B. Stoddard and Kristofer Goldsmith blasted protesters as “real threats,” and violent “maniacs” that should be contained by law enforcement.
“The goal is to intimidate and harass [school board officials] until they quit to create vacancies so that these maniacs can put their friends on these boards,” Goldsmith, an intelligence, extremism and disinformation analyst said.
DOJ silent on abortion protests at justices’ homes despite federal law prohibiting ‘pickets’ to influence case
There have been no arrests of abortion activists despite federal law prohibiting protests with intent to influence a court case.
The Department of Justice is remaining silent on continued protests by abortion activists outside conservative Supreme Court justices’ homes, despite a federal law that makes it illegal to attempt to “influence” federal officials and the outcome of a court case.
The pro-abortion protestors are targeting the private homes of the six Republican-appointed justices after the leak last week of a draft opinion signaled the Supreme Court intends to overturn landmark abortion case Roe v. Wade.
Federal U.S. code 1507, states that any individual who “pickets or parades” with the “intent of interfering with, obstructing, or impeding the administration of justice, or with the intent of influencing any judge, juror, witness, or court officer” near a U.S. court or “near a building or residence occupied or used by such judge, juror, witness, or court officer” will be fined, or “imprisoned not more than one year, or both.”
Despite the language included in the federal statute, Attorney General Merrick Garland has not issued a public statement addressing the protests outside conservative justices’ homes. And the Department of Justice (DOJ) did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on Garland’s silence and the reason why protestors have not been arrested.
Putin’s muted Victory Day speech claims Russian invasion of Ukraine a success
On a day meant to showcase his country’s military might, Russian President Vladimir Putin spent his Victory Day speech justifying his decision to invade Ukraine, as a smaller-than-usual parade of Russian forces rolled through Red Square.
State media reported that 11,000 troops and 131 military vehicles took part in the annual spectacle, which celebrates the defeat of Nazi Germany. That’s down from the 12,000 soldiers and 191 vehicles that took part last year, when attendance was restricted by the pandemic.
More than 22,000 troops took part in the 2020 event, which celebrated the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
An air display planned for Monday, which was supposed to include warplanes roaring over Moscow in a flying Z – the main symbol of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine – was cancelled at the last minute. State media reported that the decision was made because of the weather, although the skies were clear over the capital at the time of the parade.
The real reason for the shrunken display of power was the unexpectedly fierce resistance the Russian army has encountered since Mr. Putin ordered his forces into Ukraine on Feb. 24. A war that Kremlin officials expected would be over within days has now entered its 11th week, with Russian forces having made only limited territorial gains in the south and east of Ukraine.
‘It’s as Tall as a Person’: Russians Reveal Their Secret Dump of Dead Soldiers in Donetsk
Russian authorities in Ukraine’s occupied city of Donetsk are tossing the bodies of their dead soldiers in a secret dump “by the thousands” and charging their loved ones money to find them.
That’s according to a new audio recording released by Ukraine’s Security Service on Tuesday, which is purportedly an intercepted telephone conversation between two Russians discussing how one of their missing friends was finally found.
In the two-and-a-half minute recording, an unidentified man tells his female relative that the fate of “Inna’s brother” is finally known after he went missing a month ago.
“It’s better that you don’t hear this,” the man says at first, reluctant to spill all the grim details.
After more urging, he finally explains that the unidentified dead man’s “sister went to Donetsk, and there, basically, roughly speaking, is a dump.”
PUTIN’S BAD MATH: THE ROOT OF RUSSIAN MISCALCULATION IN UKRAINE
The bear is snared. After more than two months of war, the Russian campaign in Ukraine has stalled. The stalemate settling across the battlefield has left legions of analysts, strategists, and statesmen bewildered. Some predicted a quagmire from the outset, but most seasoned military observers expected Russia to dominate the battlefield within the opening week of the war. Despite Russia’s claim that its “special military operation” is proceeding according to plan, the signs of a grave military miscalculation are mounting. The UK minister of defence estimates that over fifteen thousand Russian troops have been killed in action since the start of the war, and Russian factories are straining to replace the hundreds of tanks and armored vehicles that have been destroyed. As the battered Russian forces regroup in the Donbas, the Western military commentariat is assiduously assessing how Europe’s largest conventional army became embroiled in a grinding war of attrition against an ostensibly inferior opponent.
Some attribute the morass in Ukraine to megalomania on the part of Vladimir Putin, or the poor planning of the Russian military high command. Of course, the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people has played its part. But I argue that the root cause of the Russian crisis in Ukraine is more mundane. The Russian military has stalled because the theory of victory that undergirded its campaign was based on an assessment of will, not means. This flaw is rooted in a common transposition of military mathematics. Devising a theory of victory that hinges on breaking the will of the enemy, as opposed to overwhelming the enemy’s capacity to resist, is tenuous at best, and catastrophic at worst. This oft-ignored but sobering reality is playing out before the eyes of the world in Ukraine.
DeSantis Signs New Bill Declaring ‘Victims of Communism’ Day in Florida
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a new bill that establishes November 7th as “Victims of Communism Day” in the state. He announced it via Twitter, noting that the purpose of the day is “to honor those who have suffered under communism and remind people of the destruction communism has caused worldwide, including a death toll exceeding 100 million. In Florida, we will tell the truth about communism.”
The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation was established in 1993 by a unanimous Act of Congress, which was then signed into law by President Bill Clinton. The Foundation praised the passage of the legislation by Florida’s legislature in March, noting that Florida would be joining Alabama, Texas, Utah, and Virginia with its designation. Eight other states — Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Illinois, Missouri, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina — are also moving to pass similar resolutions. (Note: That list includes both red and blue states.)
Governor DeSantis’ office also issued a press release in connection with Monday’s designation. From that release:
Don’t believe Mayorkas — the data show the southern border is open
Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas wants voters to believe that the southern border is secure. But the available data show the exact opposite. The border is wide open — and migrants know it.
“What happens now is individuals are either expelled under the Title 42 authority or they are placed in immigration enforcement proceedings,” Mayorkas told CNN’s Dana Bash this month. “And they are removed if they do not have a valid claim under our law to remain. And so the border is not open.”
If only that were true. The reality is that those arrested at the southern border who are not turned away under Title 42 are released into the country to go wherever they please. Importantly, Mayorkas confirmed to Fox News’s Bret Baier that over 1 million migrants have been caught and released into the United States since President Joe Biden took office.
Many of these migrants do show up in immigration court to file asylum claims, but asylum cases take years to complete. The current average is 4 1/2 years. By the time their asylum claims are decided — they’re usually rejected — the migrants in question are no longer a priority for deportation. That’s because, under enforcement guidelines issued by Mayorkas, migrants whose only offense is illegally crossing the border more than a year and a half ago are not a priority for removal.
Biden’s plan to bribe millennials by canceling debt can’t and won’t work
The Framers gave the power of the purse to congress, not the president.
President Joe Biden says he is seriously considering wiping out the debts for a vast swath of college students who took out federal loans. He has no such constitutional nor statutory authority. But if past is prologue, he’ll do it anyway.
For the fourth time in his presidency, Biden recently suspended loan payments through August 31. He improbably cited the pandemic that his own chief science adviser admits has ended. Now, under increasing pressure from progressive Democrats and facing a rout in the upcoming midterm elections, Biden appears poised to cancel debts altogether for a substantial number of borrowers.
Doing so by executive fiat is an abuse of power by the president. Just as the Appropriations Clause of the Constitution grants spending authority to congress, the Property Clause gives our legislative body exclusive authority to “dispose” of property. Under the law, debt is considered property.
While the president does have some discretion and latitude to pause payments for a limited time during a healthcare emergency, only Congress can forgive major debts owed to the federal government.
Yet, Congress has passed no such law. Efforts on Capitol Hill to gain the necessary votes to enact a bill have fallen woefully short. This means that the president is obligated to abide by the Constitution. He must also follow the existing statute governing federal loans to students, the Higher Education Act.
GOP’s midterm bet: Voters will care more about inflation than abortion – Open Borders – Disastrous Policy Abroad – WOKE crap.
One week after the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion that would eliminate the constitutional right to abortion, Republican candidates and strategists are increasingly confident that such a decision would not seriously harm the GOP’s chances of regaining House and Senate majorities come November, as Democrats have suggested it might.
That belief is rooted in reams of polling, nearly all of it conducted before the leak, showing that economic challenges, particularly runaway inflation, are by far the most powerful force motivating voters this year, followed by crime and immigration — issues where Republicans believe they will have an enduring advantage. And, so far, they see scant evidence that reproductive rights are set to dislodge those priorities, given the often-muted reaction in states that have already moved to restrict abortion rights.
“Right now, it’s unknown territory for both sides,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said in an interview last week. “I don’t think it’s going to override inflation, crime, open borders, school frustrations and all the other things that seem to be driving the president’s numbers into the tank.”
