Liberal Democrats Strategy is to Lie, Distort and Obstruct… Sad!

Democrats either have an issue with reading comprehension or they’re running a shameful misinformation campaign. The CR has NO CUTS to Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, or veterans’ benefits.

– Speaker of the House Mike Johnson

We should measure welfare’s success by how many people leave welfare, not by how many are added.

– Ronald Reagan

What makes America great is the idea that when government is limited and decisions are made closest to the people they impact, people are free — free to work, free to live, free to choose, free to fail and free to achieve. The America I know provides everyone an equal opportunity to be as unequaled as they choose to be.

My living wish and fervent prayer for you and for this nation is that the America I have known, is the America you fight to preserve and that each citizen, and every leader, will do their part to ensure that the America we know will be the America our grandchildren and great grandchildren will inherit.

– Former Congresswoman Mia Love

Fact Check – Democrats Have the Deciding Votes: Although Republicans have a majority in Congress, they do NOT have a governing majority.

Because of the need to get 60 votes to pass a bill in the Senate, the ONLY way anything can pass (or be held up) is with Democrat votes.

Democrats get to decide what passes and what dies. Let your friends and neighbors know that!

Biden’s Economy – Trump’s Recovery: President Trump inherited a horrible economic situation: massive budget deficits, a bloated federal government, overregulated job providers, and a looming recession.

Many fear the Biden policies have set us up for a huge stock market correction and recession to follow…passing on the pain to many American households.

The Trump policies will take some time to kick in. Many of the reforms, deregulatory efforts, fair trade reciprocal tariffs and tax cuts will take months, if not a year or so, to kick in and start affecting the economy.

Fiscal responsibility and government reform aren’t easy…but necessary. For the good of our country, Congress and the President are going to have to make some tough decisions.

Be prepared.

Cutting Social Security: It’s a lie. Democrats are lying and trying to scare seniors into believing there are cuts to Social Security in the budget bill… a politically motivated lie!

Cutting Medicare: It’s a lie. Democrats are lying and trying to scare seniors into believing there are cuts to Medicare in the budget bill… a politically motivated lie!

Cutting Veteran’s Benefits: It’s a lie. Democrats are lying and trying to scare veterans into believing there are cuts to veteran’s benefits in the budget bill… a politically motivated lie!

Liberal Democrats Strategy: They really have no alternatives, no program, no agenda… just lies and obstruction.

They are willing to shut the government down by not voting for a Continuing Resolution…political gamesmanship that will hurt many and ultimately backfire.

Just remember… Ex-Majority Leader Chuck Schumer neglected ALL 11 appropriations bills on his desk since July 2024. It was the Democrats strategy from day one.

But that’s all they’ve got. Take the President to Court. Lie about Social Security, Medicare, and veteran’s benefits being cut; play obstructionist by not passing a budget… for years.

Polls show American voters are paying attention… we’ll see.

Putin Tries to Bluff Trump: Putin engaged Trump in a long discussion, sharing his worldview and implying he desired peace.

President Trump made his position clear during the campaign and after being sworn in. He wants peace around the world… and is willing to make some tough, unpopular decisions if needed.

First, Trump pressured Ukraine. I must admit, it made me nervous, and I continue to watch with trepidation. Ukraine was attacked, and we signed the Budapest Memorandum, committing to defend Ukraine in exchange for them giving up nuclear weapons. That was a good deal.

Second, Trump followed through, pausing aid to Ukraine and forcing Europe to step up. That was overdue, and many NATO members have been abusing the U.S. taxpayers for far too long. A sound and valuable alliance, but it should not include a blank check from American taxpayers.

And then, Trump brought Ukraine back to the table, negotiated a peace process and ceasefire to get Russia and Ukraine to sit down and negotiate. Ukraine agreed.

Now, Russia is starting to backpedal on peace, come up with excuses, and backtrack on the Putin & Trump conversation that was intended to bring ALL the parties together to find a mutually acceptable deal for peace. Both sides would have to compromise.

Putin is now trying to play Trump. Knowing our President, that’s NOT going to work very well.

President Trump put his credibility on the line, engaged both sides with some tough love/talk, and expects that if America plays the honest broker role, both sides will come to the table ready to deal.

The Art of the Deal is just that. It requires both sides to participate.

Putin should be wary and very cautious about trying to play or bluff Trump.

History shows that normally doesn’t work well.

US Envoy Witkoff leaves Moscow without cease-fire agreement after Putin rejects Trump’s terms: ‘A lot still needs to be done’

Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff left Moscow on Friday without a cease-fire deal in hand after Russian President Vladimir Putin rejected President Trump’s terms to begin winding down the war with Ukraine.

Putin met with Witkoff late Thursday night after having kept Witkoff waiting since roughly 12:30 p.m., according to flight tracking data and Russian reports, but ultimately sent him home with “signals” for Trump, Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov told reporters.

“A lot still needs to be done,” Peskov said of the cease-fire agreement, noting that Witkoff “presented additional information to the Russian side.”

Trump’s proposal was straightforward: Russia and Ukraine would halt all conflict for 30 days and conduct a prisoner exchange as signs of both parties’ commitments to finding a peaceful resolution. The US would also restart sharing intelligence with and delivering aid to Kyiv.

But on Thursday, Putin demanded additional measures — a halt to the aid and intelligence-sharing, as well as forcing Ukraine not to train, reinforce or resupply its forces during the cease-fire — during remarks to the press on Thursday.

Trump had responded Thursday it would be a “very disappointing moment for the world” if Putin did not agree to his cease-fire proposal.

Trump Tax Cuts Can’t Come Soon Enough To Fix Biden’s Economic Mess

President Trump inherited a mess, but he’s taking the right steps to get America back on track.

Just how bad is it? The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s “GDPNow” forecasting model suggests that the U.S. economy is presently contracting at an annual rate of 2.4%. Worse yet, the economic outlook for the remainder of 2025 and beyond is dubious at best.

If Congress needed a reason to extend and expand President Donald Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), this is it!

Certain congressmen are hesitant to extend TCJA without enacting similarly large federal spending cuts. They are rightfully concerned about the budget deficit. But allowing the tax cuts to expire and, in doing so, possibly nudging the U.S. into recession, is the surest way to balloon the deficit further and saddle taxpayers with even more debt.

Fiscal prudence demands that the 119th Congress enact tax policies designed to grow the economy. And the sooner, the better.

US in ‘difficult transition from Bidenomics to Trumpnomics’

Peter Navarro, a senior trade adviser to President Trump, said Wednesday that the U.S. is “in a difficult transition from Bidenomics to Trumpnomics.”

“Help us understand, what is the bigger picture for the economy from the administration?” host Will Cain asked on his Fox News show.

In his response, Navarro said, “let’s start looking through one end of the telescope, through today’s data, as you correctly observe, the core rate of inflation has fallen [to its] lowest level in almost four years.”

“That’s huge,” Navarro continued. “Gasoline prices down, we’ve had mortgage rates down, we’ve had grocery prices flat. Here’s the thing, we’re in this — this difficult transition from Bidenomics to Trumpnomics.”

“What is that, OK? Bidenomics was a combination of very overaggressive Keynesian stimulus spending to goose the economy that created large amounts of debt, which is unsustainable. So, [at] the same time that it gave us what we call demand-pull inflation, too much money chasing too few goods, it built in a recession, possibly some time down the road, if that spending weren’t controlled,” he added.

House Republican campaign arm targets vulnerable Democrats who ‘voted to shut down’ government

All but one House Democrat voted against a Republican-crafted bill to keep government funded and avert a federal shutdown

The House GOP’s campaign committee is taking aim at congressional Democrats for voting against a measure to fund the federal government through Sept. 30 and avoid a government shutdown at the end of this week.

The National Republican Congressional Committee is launching digital ads against 35 House Democrats who may face challenging or competitive races in the 2026 midterms, when the GOP aims to defend its fragile majority in the chamber.

The spots, shared first with Fox News Wednesday morning, are going up hours after the House, almost entirely along party lines, voted 217-213 to pass a Republican-crafted bill that cuts non-defense spending by roughly $13 billion, boosts defense spending by around $6 billion and gives President Donald Trump more leeway in how to spend the funds.

Thanks to heavy last-minute lobbying by Trump and his allies inside and outside the chamber, the House GOP didn’t need a single Democrat’s vote to pass the bill.

Dealmaker, Peacemaker, President

Nearly a year into his first term, Trump’s national security adviser had just proposed sending an additional 3,000 to 5,000 troops to Afghanistan, prompting his boss’s frustration that his Cabinet still hadn’t gotten the message. Trump had repeatedly conveyed that he wanted to end the war in Afghanistan, not prolong it.

Between 2012 and 2013, Trump tweeted about the loss of lives, waste of taxpayer dollars, and apparent absence of a strategy to get any value from our investment in the country.

“Afghanistan is a total disaster,” Trump said in 2012. “We don’t know what we are doing. They are, in addition to everything else, robbing us blind.”

“Rebuild the U.S. first. Our government is so pathetic that some of the billions being wasted in Afghanistan are ending up with terrorists.”

The $50 billion we poured into Afghanistan annually was having little effect on the country’s long-term security, and it fueled corruption at the highest levels of Afghan government and military. America committed time, troops, and money to a country and, somehow, got nothing in return beyond a vague sense that America was “safer” for having fought the war. For a dealmaker like Trump, these terms were worse than unfair, they were unconscionable—all benefits of the bargain went to them, none to us.

“How does this end?” Trump asked Senator Lindsey Graham, mulling his options.

It never will, Graham replied.

“It’s good versus evil. Good versus evil never ends. It’s just like the Nazis. It’s now radical Islam. It will be something else one day.”

Eight years later, Afghanistan finally behind us, a similar scenario is playing out in Ukraine. And while some on the Right have gotten the message – Senator Graham among them – others have not. Prominent conservative journalists and politicians continue to argue that we must stop at nothing to secure Ukraine, in order to sometime down the road protect the United States.

After Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, many assumed it would be mere months, if not weeks, before Russia seized control of the entire country. But after three years of fighting, Putin has secured roughly 20 percent of Ukraine – failing to control key terrain used in previous centuries as avenues of approach into western Russia – and failing to reconstitute his strategic buffer against Europe. America feared during the Cold War that the Soviet Union would dominate Europe in a land war. However, Russia’s failure to meet its objectives in Ukraine has given us a much better understanding of the ledger of power between Russia and Europe.

None of this surprises Trump, who has seized an opportunity to end the war, promising America and the world that he can deliver peace.

Trump can halt Russia’s war against Ukraine

Just don’t expect peace and concord

Since beginning his second term in office not quite a month ago, President Trump has taken on multiple missions, such as securing the border, putting woke back to sleep and shrinking the administrative state to the multifront war against Israel, with fragile ceasefires in place.

Now, Mr. Trump has begun to seriously turn his attention to Russia’s war against Ukraine, which began three years ago Monday.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz began meeting with their Russian counterparts in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. Ukrainian negotiators were not invited. Many commentators have already concluded that Mr. Trump is Neville Chamberlain reincarnated.

I think that’s jumping the gun. There’s a path Mr. Trump can take — indeed, one he may already have in mind — that can lead to a reasonably good outcome.

I’ll explain in a moment, but first, full disclosure: I regard Vladimir Putin as a villain and a war criminal.

He has intentionally targeted Ukrainian hospitals and schools. His troops have committed summary executions, employed sexual violence and tortured prisoners.

I know some regard all this as, to coin a phrase, “a quarrel in a faraway country, between people of whom we know nothing.”

How China Could ‘Win’ the War in Ukraine and Dominate Asia

A fracturing of the United States-NATO alliance and a Russia-favorable resolution of the war in Ukraine would represent a significant strategic victory for Xi Jinping, the apotheosis of an alliance sealed by Xi and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Beijing Olympics in 2022.

But their 2024 pledge of a “new era” between the two powers is about more than the support that is helping Russia sustain its war in Ukraine; fundamentally, it is about diminishing the American dominance that prevailed after World War II and ushering in a new global writ, authored and underpinned by Chinese power. “The world is going through changes unseen in a hundred years,” Xi told Putin at the BRICS summit. And, he might have added, we are delighted.

Putin’s 2022 march on Ukraine was a signal Xi was quick to exploit: a “once in a century” opportunity, he believed, to hasten the inevitable decline of the West and build a new world order helmed by Beijing. Xi embraced the Russian dictator’s upending of the post-World War II order, helping to sustain Moscow’s onslaught with critical dual-use inputs, such as microelectronics, precision machine tools, spare parts, titanium and magnesium alloys, and chemical inputs for munitions production and components essential for weapons manufacturing. China has also buttressed Russia’s economy in the face of international sanctions, purchasing energy and increasing trade to record levels.

Meanwhile, Beijing’s formidable informational and propaganda arms promote Russian narratives that blame the United States and NATO for the war. For these reasons, NATO has identified China as a “decisive enabler” of Russia’s war efforts, without whose support the war could not continue.

Secret Resistance Agreement Between Blue States, Left-Wing Groups and NYC Law Firms to Conduct Coordinated Lawfare Against DOGE and Elon Musk

A secret resistance agreement between 14 states to conduct coordinated lawfare against DOGE and Elon Musk was obtained by the Oversight Project.

DOGE says it has saved approximately $105 billion in a “combination of asset sales, contract/lease cancellations and renegotiations, fraud and improper payment deletion, grant cancellations, interest savings,” and other workforce reductions.

The Democrats are angry that DOGE is saving American taxpayers money, so they devised a scheme to stop Elon Musk and his team.

There are currently nearly a dozen lawsuits challenging DOGE over its authority, data access, and privacy laws.

What’s going on with ActBlue?

The Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue was created more than 20 years ago, in 2004, at a time when Democrats were up in arms over another Republican president, George W. Bush. “In the early 2000s, grassroots supporters — frustrated with the Bush administration — were an untapped superpower for campaigns,” ActBlue officials wrote to mark their anniversary last year. “Since then, the leading online fundraising platform for Democratic candidates and campaigns helped process over $13 billion raised from more than 250 million individual donations.”

ActBlue “transformed Democratic politics,” Politico wrote back in 2020. Its “wild success” has “reshaped the way candidates not only raise money but campaign for office.” The group’s achievements caught Republicans unaware; GOP leaders created their own online platform, WinRed, which has been valuable for the party but has not equaled ActBlue’s success.

ActBlue was a big part of former Vice President Kamala Harris’s fundraising bonanza after incumbent Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race. The group touted its fundraising for each night of the Democratic National Convention — $13 million on Day One, $16.5 million on Day Two, $23 million on Day Three, and $37 million on Day Four.

So ActBlue is an important part of the Democratic machine. And now something appears to have gone terribly wrong.

Last week, the New York Times reported that at least seven senior ActBlue officials have resigned in recent days, with the suggestion that the resignations might be related to the actions of a whistleblower inside the organization.

Mia Love: My living wish for the America I know

As her battle with brain cancer comes to an end, Mia Love takes up her pen — not to say goodbye but to say thank you

My dear friends, fellow Americans and Utahns. I am taking up my pen, not to say goodbye but to say thank you and express my living wish for you and the America I know.

My battle with brain cancer is coming to an end. The disease is no longer responding to treatment and my family and I have shifted our focus from treatments, to enjoying every moment and making memories with the time we have. My life has been extended by exceptional medical care, science and extraordinary professionals who have become dear friends. My extra season of life has also been the result of the faith and prayers of countless friends, known and unknown. The result of such humble faith and pleading prayers have been felt by me and my family in ways too numerous to count. I have always believed that faith and science are inextricably interconnected.

As a mayor, member of congress and media commentator I have seen the worst of petty politics, divisive rhetoric and disappointing lapses of moral character by some. These same roles also provided me a front row seat and backstage pass to be blessed and inspired by the courage, vision and hope of America’s finest daughters, sons and citizens.
