Democrat’s Tactics Hurt America: I’m truly disgusted and sad at the hate, vitriol, and violence that has become the norm in political discourse. It’s not longer acceptable to agree to disagree…instead the “truth police” are out to cancel anyone they disagree with.
If that’s not enough, the FBI or IRS are there to harass political opponents.
It was a lousy tactic the left astro-turfed and threw gas on the flames that has gotten out of control. Pray for change and rationale leadership.
AG Garland’s Credibility: As written in the Wall Street Journal: “It’s nice to hear Mr. Garland say he personally signed off on the search. But it’s a little much to hear him lecture the country that it’s beyond the pale to criticize the FBI. After the Russia collusion fraud, the Steele dossier con, the misleading FISA requests for the Carter Page warrants, and the Robert Mueller whitewash of all of that, there are plenty of reasons for Americans to take a don’t-trust-but-verify attitude to the bureau. This isn’t disdain for the rule of law. It’s well-earned skepticism.”
Weaponizing the DOJ, FBI, and IRS: This is VERY dangerous. It doesn’t matter if you’re a Republican or Democrat, Progressive, Liberal or Conservative this is the most dangerous government intrusion on liberty and freedom ever.
Per Harmeet K. Dhillon – @pnjaban
This FBI:
* Pushed Russia collusion hoax
* Spied on law-abiding Americans
* Lied to FISA court
* Ignored Hillary’s server escapades
* Ignored Biden Family criminal activity
* Persecutes journalists at Project Veritas
* Treats J6 trespassers like terrorists
* Goes after PTA moms/
Government is really getting out of control…I hope voters are watching and will vote for change. Remember, freedom was the original idea!
Perspective: If Russia stopped fighting, there would be no war! If Ukraine stopped fighting, there would be no Ukraine.
Better… or for Worse?: The Democrats can say and try and spin whatever they like in the political arena, but the fact remains that Americans are feeling the pain of the Democrat’s policies EVERY week.
Every week at the pump, Americans feel the rising cost of gas to go to work.
Every week at the grocery store, Americans feel the rising cost of feeding their families.
Every week at every other store, American feel the pain of higher prices and various shortages.
Democrat’s policies have real consequences…and they ain’t so good.
Schumer – Manchin Bill: Let’s make sure EVERYONE gets this straight. This bill does the following:
– Increases taxes for families making less than $400,000/year.
– Funnels money to liberal slush funds and political cronies.
– Hires 87,000 more IRS agents! (Damn, the Democrats love taxes!)
– Fuels even more inflation.
– Adds taxes to hurt U.S. fuel manufacturers and workers.

Washington’s Incurable Case of Trump Derangement Syndrome Its warped conception of him led to the outrageous FBI raid on his home.
Like Shakespeare’s King Lear, Donald Trump is a “man more sinned against than sinning.” Trump’s enemies invariably exceed him in excesses. They accuse him of dictatorial behavior even as they seek to turn America into a left-wing authoritarian regime. The wags who dubbed their feverish hatred of him “Trump Derangement Syndrome” were right. The condition is altogether real, spurring everything from the bogus Russia investigation to the equally outlandish FBI raid on his home.
The condition is clearly incurable. It induced the infected in official Washington to try and cripple Trump before, during, and now after his presidency. The hopelessly politicized senior leaders at the FBI and the Justice Department have learned nothing from their utterly discredited investigation of Trump as a supposed Russian agent. That fiasco led to spying on Trump Tower (just as Trump claimed) and using an oafish “confidential informant” to infiltrate his campaign.
Former FBI head James Comey, after he got popped for these extreme measures, claimed disingenuously that he wasn’t investigating Trump directly but only his campaign and had an obligation to protect it from foreign influence. Of course, this was contradicted by the fact that he never gave Trump a briefing on his ostensible concerns. As it came out later in the texts of agent Peter Strzok, the FBI wanted to “stop” Trump and had an “insurance” policy in case he won. The Mueller probe that hobbled almost half of Trump’s presidency was the fulfillment of Strzok’s partisan crusade.
The FBI raid on Trump’s home amounts to a new insurance policy, one against a future presidency. It is yet another attempt by official Washington to delegitimize him lest he run again. The same reckless and warped mentality that drove Comey and company to entertain the most ludicrous collusion claims against Trump produced this grossly gratuitous raid.
FBI Trump raid exposes Washington’s secrecy shams
FBI agents raided Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home Monday reportedly looking for boxes of classified material that Trump allegedly removed from the White House when his presidency ended in January 2021. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said the raid showed the Justice Department’s “intolerable state of weaponized politicization.”
Trump is accused of violating the Presidential Records Act. Congress enacted this law in 1978 after former President Richard Nixon claimed his secret Oval Office tapes and other records were his personal property. The law asserted, “The United States shall reserve and retain complete ownership, possession, and control of Presidential records.”
“The Presidential Records Act is critical to our democracy, in which the government is held accountable by the people,” Archivist of the United States David Ferriero declared earlier this year.
In reality, the Presidential Records Act is the Presidential Damn-Near-Perpetual-Secrecy Act. Former presidents pocket multimillion-dollar advances for their memoirs while their records are mostly quarantined for decades from the citizens they often misgoverned.
The Nixon Library did not release the final batch of his secret tapes until 2013 — 39 years after Nixon was driven from office. The Lyndon B. Johnson Library delayed releasing the final batch of his secret tapes of presidential conversations until 2016 — 47 years after he left office.
Merrick Garland’s Mar-a-Lago Warrant Gambit
“But it’s a little much to hear him lecture the country that it’s beyond the pale to criticize the FBI.”
Who says Merrick Garland is a political naif? The Attorney General emerged briefly from Main Justice on Thursday to defend the FBI’s search of Donald Trump’s residence without saying much at all. Instead he put the burden on Mr. Trump to let a federal judge release the judicial warrant that allowed the search of Mar-a-Lago.
Mr. Garland said he had asked the judge to release the warrant and property list presented by the FBI at Mar-a-Lago, which gives the appearance of transparency. The magistrate will no doubt consult Mr. Trump’s attorney, and if the former President declines his assent the warrant may stay sealed. That could make it look as if Mr. Trump is trying to hide something, though a warrant is nothing more than a license to search a premises. It is not an implication of guilt, though it can do reputational harm if it suggests the FBI is looking for evidence of wrongdoing.
The warrant may shed some light on the reasons for the search, but it will be only one side of the story. Mr. Garland was at pains Thursday to say his department is doing all this by the legal book, and that no one is playing politics. But the AG is clearly trying to deflect anger at Monday’s unprecedented search of a former President’s home without having to elaborate on the legal case he is pursuing.
It’s nice to hear Mr. It’s well-earned skepticism.
GOP polls show House battlefield stretching into double-digit Biden districts
The polls show competitive races forming in Oregon, Colorado and California.
A round of new internal polling is giving the GOP fresh optimism that the House battleground map is stretching even more favorably in their direction.
Four surveys conducted in late July reveal close races in open seats in Oregon, Colorado and California that President Joe Biden carried by between 11 and 15 points in 2020. Taken all together, GOP operatives view the data as a sign that Biden’s sinking approval numbers could drag Democratic candidates down enough to bring deep blue turf into reach.
The voter registration and partisan lean of the districts all strongly favor Democrats, and it will be a heavy lift for Republicans to flip any of these seats. Moreover, the only polling available in the districts are internal Republican figures, which can sometimes be rosier than reality for the party.
But the numbers comport with general assessments about the state of the House map from strategists of both parties, as well as the close results of the 2021 statewide elections in New Jersey and Virginia. Altogether, the tightening polls suggest that some super-blue seats could be in play in November, which would mean Democrats may have to expend precious resources there on defense — especially because they lack well-funded incumbents.
Sour views on economy keep Biden approval on issues down
More than two-thirds of people think the nation’s economy is getting worse.
With the midterm elections three months away, Americans maintain a sour view on the state of the economy and are pessimistic about its future course, with President Joe Biden’s approval rating across a range of issue areas continuing to suffer, according to a new ABC News/Ipsos poll.
More than two-thirds (69%) of Americans think the nation’s economy is getting worse — the highest that measure has reached since 2008, when it was 82% in an ABC News/Washington Post poll. Currently, only 12% think the economy is getting better and 18% think it is essentially staying the same.
Americans’ views of Biden’s handling of the economic recovery remain overwhelmingly negative — and are virtually unchanged from the same poll in early June, with only 37% of Americans approving of the job the president is doing and 62% disapproving in the latest ABC News/Ipsos poll, which was conducted using Ipsos’ KnowledgePanel.
The president’s rating on inflation is even worse, with 29% of Americans saying they approve, while 69% disapprove. This number is also unchanged since June.
Gingrich describes how to create a red tsunami
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has much institutional knowledge about the Grand Old Party. He also has some helpful recommendations for Republicans who now visualize a sweeping victory in the midterm elections.
“An American tidal wave is coming based on big, nationalized congressional campaigns. The American people will repudiate high inflation, fuel prices, and food costs. They will reject the unchecked border and skyrocketing murder rates (which are up 37 percent in New York City and 34 percent in Chicago). And they are sick of relentless values assaults over race, sexuality, and the nature of America,” Mr. Gingrich predicted in a Fox News essay published Sunday.
“If this big election tsunami is going to materialize into what could be the worst Democrat Party repudiation since 1920, Republicans need to understand two things: First, this is an American Majority – not a Republican Majority or a Conservative Majority. Americans of all ethnic and partisan backgrounds are coming together to reject unsustainable pain for their families, communities, and our free society,” Mr. Gingrich wrote…
… “The Democrats have consistently hijacked popular, good issues — then attached their tax and spending corporate welfare for their allies to those issues,” advised Saul Anuzis, former chairman of the Michigan Republican Party, and president of the 60 Plus Association.
“The Democrat’s inflationary policies include more spending, more taxes, draconian regulation and the Green New Deal. The push to raise oil and gas prices is a weight on every American family,” Mr. Anuzis said in a written statement, adding that “craziness” around the planet amplifies this burden.
“When you pile on the bad and ill-conceived Democrat policies on top of various crises around the world — they include the Russia invasion of Ukraine, supply chain issues, Russia’s geopolitical gas supply games, currency manipulation, Russia’s attack on food supplies, and uncertainty in the world market — you have a recipe for disaster. Elections have consequences and the Democrats have proven their policies and biases are bad for America,” he advised.
Schumer-Manchin Inflation Reduction Act will hurt Democrats in November
American people are ready to say ‘no more’ Democrats at the ballot box this November
With the midterm election now less than 100 days away and our economy in a recession, Democrats are getting desperate.
For the past eighteen months, President Joe Biden and his leftist majority in Congress have controlled all the levers of power in Washington and enacted policies that have created a brutal inflation crisis in our country. Now, with the prospects of a Republican red wave in November becoming more likely with each passing day, instead of doing something that would actually help our economy, Joe “The Great Inflator” Biden and the incompetent Democrats calling the shots on Capitol Hill are doubling down on what got us into this mess in the first place.
Not only are congressional Democrats proposing hundreds of billions in new spending and more devastating tax increases as their catch-all “solution” to the problem, how they are branding the legislation is a ridiculous bold faced lie. These unchecked Democrats are truly on a roll when it comes to misleading the American people. The Schumer-Manchin “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022” is just the latest example.
Rational people with common sense understand that this proposal from the left is chalked full of tax and spend gimmicks that have no chance of reducing inflation anytime soon. In fact, it will likely prolong the festering crisis, which has inflation at a 40-year-high.
List of Tax Hikes in Democrat Reconciliation Bill
$6.5 Billion Natural Gas Tax Which Will Increase Household Energy Bills
The bill imposes a regressive tax on American oil and gas development. The tax will drive up the cost of household energy bills. The Congressional Budget Office estimates the natural gas tax will increase taxes by $6.5 billion.
The tax hike violates President Biden’s tax pledge to any American making less than $400,000 per year. Biden administration officials have repeatedly admitted taxes that raise consumer energy prices are in violation of President Biden’s $400,000 tax pledge.
A letter to Congress from the American Gas Association warned that the methane tax would amount to a 17% increase on an average family’s natural gas bill. Democrats have included a tax in the bill despite retail prices for energy surpassing multi-year highs in the United States.
$12 Billion Crude Oil Tax Which Will Increase Household Costs
With gas averaging more than $4.00 per gallon across the country and only weeks removed from record-high prices, Democrats have included a 16.4 cents-per-barrel tax on crude oil and imported petroleum products that will be passed on to consumers in the form of higher gas prices.
The tax hike violates President Biden’s tax pledge to any American making less than $400,000 per year.
As noted above, Biden administration officials have repeatedly admitted taxes that raise consumer energy prices are in violation of President Biden’s $400,000 tax pledge.
Here’s the Truth About What ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ Would Do
As Senate Democrats achieve their goal of jamming through the so-called Inflation Reduction Act, reality is becoming clear: The bill will likely increase near-term inflation, depress household incomes, and produce the long-term deficits that fuel long-term inflation.
Using the Congressional Budget Office’s latest scoring, estimates of the most recent changes, and accounting for very expensive gimmicks, it’s likely that the bill will produce deficits.
The cumulative deficit would be around $52.5 billion over the next four years, at least $110 billion through fiscal year 2031, and more beyond. That would mean adding to near-term and long-term inflationary pressures, in contrast to what proponents such as Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., claim.
In short, the bill is about as far away from a genuine Inflation Reduction Act as possible. Though it would be harmful under any circumstances, signing it into law during a period of stagflation would be the worst possible timing.
The Inflation Reduction Act utilizes three major sets of common congressional gimmicks to mask its true costs: cherry-picked expiration dates, ignoring net interest costs, and indirect tax burdens.
As one very costly example, the bill would extend for three more years “temporary” Obamacare subsidies that were supposed to expire this year. That brings to mind the wisdom of the late economist Milton Friedman, who once observed, “Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program.”
Despite the Obamacare subsidies being peddled as temporary, extending them was among the first provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act that Senate Democrats committed to voting for. It just goes to prove something the everyone knows: There are certain taxpayer-funded handouts and giveaways that seem to always get extended in perpetuity.
Dems Poised To Make IRS Larger Than Pentagon, State Department, FBI, and Border Patrol Combined
Manchin-backed Inflation Reduction Act would more than double agency’s size
If Democrats have their way, one of the most detested federal agencies—the Internal Revenue Service—will employ more bureaucrats than the Pentagon, State Department, FBI, and Border Patrol combined.
Under the Inflation Reduction Act negotiated by Sen. Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.), the agency would receive $80 billion in funding to hire as many as 87,000 additional employees. The increase would more than double the size of the IRS workforce, which currently has 78,661 full-time staffers, according to federal data.
The additional IRS funding is integral to the Democrats’ reconciliation package. A Congressional Budget Office analysis found the hiring of new IRS agents would result in more than $200 billion in additional revenue for the federal government over the next decade. More than half of that funding is specifically earmarked for “enforcement,” meaning tax audits and other responsibilities such as “digital asset monitoring.”
That would make the IRS one of the largest federal agencies. The Pentagon houses roughly 27,000 employees, according to the Defense Department, while a human resources fact sheet says the State Department employs just over 77,243 staff. The FBI employs approximately 35,000 people, according to the agency’s website, and Customs and Border Protection says it employs 19,536 Border Patrol agents.
The money allocated to the IRS would increase the agency’s budget by more than 600 percent. In 2021, the IRS received $12.6 billion.
Democrats suddenly realize open borders are a disaster
Republican border-state governors are sending busloads of illegal entrants — released in their states by the Department of Homeland Security — to DC and New York City, prompting recriminations and pleas for federal cash from the Democratic mayors of those erstwhile immigrant-friendly cities.
Those mayors, seemingly unwittingly, are making the governors’ point — that the administration has created a disaster at the US-Mexico line, requiring an immediate policy shift to protect lives and state and local finances.
It started in April. Fed up with federal releases of large numbers of migrants into overwhelmed small towns in his state (including Uvalde), Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) began offering migrants free bus trips to DC to shift some of the burden to Washington.
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) followed suit in May, and more than 7,300 migrants have since arrived in DC from the two states, creating what even Vanity Fair has termed, “A Migrant Crisis in Washington.”
DC Mayor Muriel Bowser (D), who reaffirmed her town’s status as an immigrant “sanctuary city” after Donald Trump’s 2016 election, now derides Abbott’s and Ducey’s efforts as “cruel political gamesmanship” creating a “humanitarian crisis” in her city that “must be dealt with at the federal level” in a letter to the Department of Defense seeking National Guard support (since rejected).
The Negative Economic Effects of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022
The Inflation Reduction Act contains multiple negative incentives on work and investment that
will have substantial negative effects on the U.S. economy. These negative effects include 1) the
reduced incentives for businesses to invest because of the corporate tax increase and the increased tax rate on certain investments (carried interest); 2) the negative effects on work due to the expansions in health care subsidies under the Affordable Care Act – subsidies not tied to working; 3) the negative impact on new drug development due to new federal price controls on the pharmaceutical industry.
The impact of these policies over the next ten years are as follows:
• Employment will be reduced by 900,000
• Annual GDP will be reduced by 1.2%
• Average Household income will fall by roughly $1,200
• The rate of inflation and the federal budget deficit are both likely to rise, not fall
