“If you want loyalty in politics, get a dog!” – Commentator Cal Thomas
Biden’s Radical “Us versus Them” Speech: Ari Fleischer put it well, “There’s no difference between Biden’s campaign speech tonight and his 2012 message that the GOP under Romney wants to ‘put y’all back in chains.’ Biden is the most divisive, over the top, rhetorically vile, bumbling, inarticulate president in history.”
Senator Ted Cruz said: “Tonight, Joe Biden vilified millions of Americans in a divisive & angry speech that was detached from the reality of his political failures.
He isn’t actually interested in restoring the soul of the nation, he’s only interested pitting his fellow Americans against one another.”
I have never heard a politician of any party demonize over half of the country that disagrees with his politics and policies. Joe Biden’s address in Philadelphia this week was one of the most menacing, bitter, angry, and divisive speeches given by a President in modern US political history.
He blamed “MAGA voters” for a climate of violence and Biden exaggerates the so called “threat” from the right…but seems to ignore that it was the progressive liberal Democrats that empowered and encouraged:
– Defund the police movement
– Open borders and widespread illegal immigration
– Record amounts of drugs and criminals coming over the border daily
– Black Lives Matter radicals and opportunists
– ANTIFA domestic terrorist
– Burning cities and riots during the Democrat’s “summer of love”
– Critical Race Theory radicals teaching & encouraging racism
– Punishing girls’ sports by allowing and encouraging biological males to compete
– Not to mention inflation, deficits, rising interest rates and devastating economy
The policies of the progressive left wing of today’s Democrat party are a disaster.
Congressman Jim Jordan summed it up best –
“What Americans wanted to hear last night:
-Plan to tackle inflation
-Plan to combat crime
-Plan to lower grocery costs
-Plan to fix our schools
-Plan to stop the border crisis
What Americans got:
-A bitter angry man calling them ‘extremists.’”
Number of times Biden mentioned…
Crime: 0
Inflation: 0
Fentanyl: 0
The Border: 0
Charlottesville: 1
January 6th: 2
Insurrection: 3
Donald Trump: 3
Extremism: 7
Violence: 10
MAGA: 13
Republicans: 16
Priorities?
Voters Are Moving – They Don’t Share the Democrats Vision: Yes, it’s happening. By the droves, people are moving out of high tax, high crime, liberal blue states to Republican run states for a better life.
The challenge is that some of them very quickly forget why they moved and return to voting for the Democrat politicians that caused them to move.
Consider this: “Nine out of 10 of the states (including the District of Columbia) with the highest numeric population decline between 2020 and 2021 are controlled by Democrats. The greatest exodus was from New York, California, and Illinois. Democrat-run cities are also bleeding residents, with New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago topping the list.”
Americans seem to be waking up and rejecting the radical progressive left’s agenda…but there are still many lessons to be learned.
Voting has consequences.

Biden’s ‘blood red’ backdrop steals show in speech attacking MAGA
When President Joe Biden delivered a prime-time address in Philadelphia on Thursday, the dark red setting generated a great deal of buzz.
Biden’s speech, in which he sought to frame November’s midterm elections as a continuation of his 2020 cycle’s “battle for the soul of the nation” and portrayed MAGA forces, led by former President Donald Trump and his allies, as being determined to take the country backward, was delivered outside Independence Hall. Biden, who walked in with first lady Jill Biden, was framed on either side by a standing Marine and red lights cast upon a brick wall and American flags.
“Dramatic setup here, with red and blue spotlights coloring Independence Hall and a uniformed member of the military standing on each side of the main door. Several American flags and a long red carpet were behind POTUS as he spoke,” a press pool report said. However, the tight shot of Biden seen on camera only appeared to show the red, giving the event a hellish flair.
“White House advance team not being subtle with the background here: The lit up American flag hanging right behind Biden as encroaching red brick walls surround it,” tweeted Politico’s Sam Stein.
Biden’s Authoritarian Speech: ‘MAGA’ Republican Opponents Are a Threat to Democracy
President Joe Biden confirmed on Thursday night that if you oppose him, you are an extremist who hates democracy.
Flanked by two members of the military and illuminated on a podium in blood-red lighting, Biden spent half an hour blasting his political opponents in a prime-time address to the nation.
Biden, who delivered his rant in front of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, defined his political opponents—the “MAGA Republicans”—as illegitimate monsters, a rich statement to make just weeks after the FBI raided the home of former President Donald Trump, the man who opposed him in the last election.
Though Biden stumbled and coughed through some of his early lines, his message was clear: People who oppose and disagree with his administration are against democracy.
Biden never really got around to the important issues that most Americans are concerned about right now. He said nothing about the runaway inflation, the economy, the border crisis, or any of that—just a long string of invectives against his political opponents followed up by statements about “unity” and “hope.”
“As I stand here tonight, equality and democracy are under assault,” Biden said. “We do ourselves no favors to pretend otherwise.”
The president then smeared his political foes as an existential threat to the country: “Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”
So, what Americans represent unacceptable extremism?
Earlier in the day, Biden’s Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had the answer.
“When you are not with where majority of Americans are, then you know, that is extreme.”
Biden’s fascism folly fosters fear but ignores reality
President Joe Biden, facing historically low Presidential approval ratings and in serious danger of dragging his party down during the 2022 Congressional elections, has recently taken to describing Republicans as fascists and semi-fascists.
The name-calling should surprise no one. Mr. Biden’s Democrats and their policies have ushered in an era of generationally high inflation, the highest fuel prices in history, and by the standard economic definition, a full-blown recession. There is a distinct lack of national borders, the housing market is crashing and with it, jobs and economic prosperity. In short, Democrats cannot run on their record, so stirring up fear has become their default position.
Leading the charge is the President who less than two years ago promised to unite Americans, even those who didn’t vote for him. Rather than do that, Joe Biden has taken the label fascist and placed it firmly at the feet of Republicans. During a recent speech to high-dollar Democrat donors in Maryland, Biden was quoted as saying, “It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the—I’m going to say something—it’s semi-fascism.”
While most folks realize being a fascist is a bad thing when they are asked point blank, many struggle to provide any meaningful definition. Accordingly, that may be the best place to begin this commentary. What exactly is a fascist?
Merriam-Webster, dictionary.com and the Cambridge dictionary all describe multiple elements in the definition, including a political regime, having totalitarian aspirations, government control of the marketplace, distribution of misinformation and propaganda and severe repression of criticism or opposition. Fascists often exercise violent suppression of opposition and to use threats and force to intimidate others into compliance.
How ironic then that Biden and the Democrats are accusing the GOP of being fascists. Even a casual glimpse at recent history shows example after example of the American left exhibiting textbook fascist tendencies.
Biden Misidentifies the Crime Culprit
President Biden does political damage control amid rising urban disorder.
President Biden is stumping for Democrats in Pennsylvania this week, and law and order was his theme Tuesday in Wilkes-Barre. He was joined by Rep. Matt Cartwright, who is in a tight race to keep his House seat, and gubernatorial candidate Josh Shapiro. Democrats are worried about public anxiety over rising crime, and they should be.
Statewide, murders and non-negligent manslaughters increased 46% last year compared to 2019, according to Pennsylvania’s Uniform Crime Reporting System. Pittsburgh recorded 53 homicides last year, a 43% increase over 2019. Nonfatal shootings there were up 25% in 2021 compared to two years prior.
Earlier this year Pew reported that only 44% of Philadelphia residents said they felt safe in their neighborhood at night, while 65% said they’d heard gunshots near their homes in the past year. Some 362 people have been slain in the City of Brotherly Love so far this year, compared to 226 in the first eight months of 2019.
Mr. Biden was at pains Tuesday to neutralize the perception that Democrats want to defund the police. “When it comes to public safety in this nation, the answer is not defund the police. It’s fund the police. Fund the police.” That’s a welcome line, but remember that in 2020 such sentiments were heresy in the Democratic Party.
Police are quitting in droves nationwide, and fewer cops now contend with more crime. Pennsylvania law-enforcement agencies had more than 1,200 police vacancies in March, according to the public-media organization WHYY. Cops don’t want to work where they lack political support.
The problem is that Mr. Biden didn’t offer any serious ideas to improve law enforcement. Instead he attacked the gun lobby, mass shooters, and Republicans for not condemning the Jan. 6 riot on Capitol Hill. “Let me say this to my MAGA Republican friends in Congress,” he said. “Don’t tell me you support law enforcement if you won’t condemn what happened on the 6th. . . . Whose side are you on? Look, you’re either on the side of a mob or on the side of the police.”
Can Republicans Replicate The Reagan Consensus?
People forget how the Great Depression discredited conservatism. The economic crash in 1929 caused the nation to lose faith in the marketplace. Americans turned to the idea of central planning, with the government acting as arbiter, determining what was good and what was bad, picking winners and losers, and deciding how the country should be run.
Academics still prefer to teach that version of history, which holds FDR’s New Deal interventions to have been a success, saving America so that America could save the world in the fight against global fascism.
It’s a nice, neat formulation, but it isn’t true. The Roosevelt administration’s marketplace interventions prolonged the depression rather than ending it. Amity Shlaes, in her book The Forgotten Man, argues that America’s rebirth occurred principally because the machinery of U.S. industry was put to work winning a war.
From 1945 on, the two major U.S. political parties fought over how those interventions would be managed. There was general agreement that government, given enough time, money, and personnel, would solve every problem. All the American people had to do was sit back, wait, and pay for it.
Some disagreed. The thinkers, doers, and funders who brought conservatism back to life in the post-war era are long gone and largely forgotten. People remember William F. Buckley Jr., Barry Goldwater, and Ronald Reagan, but forget the messy, complicated debates from which Reaganism emerged.
Washington versus Republican voters
When I became the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Republicans had just lost control of the Senate. This does not merely mean Republicans lost the ability to lead committees; it means we lost the ability to control anything about what the Senate does.
The result? President Joe Biden and the Democrats opened our southern border for an invasion and a massive flow of illegal drugs, engaged in enough deficit spending to drive inflation through the roof, took away America’s energy independence, drove America into a recession, and implemented soft-on-crime policies that have led to a national epidemic of violent crime.
Unfortunately, many of the very people responsible for losing the Senate last cycle are now trying to stop us from winning the majority this time by trash-talking our Republican candidates. It’s an amazing act of cowardice, and ultimately, it’s treasonous to the conservative cause. Giving anonymous quotes to help the Washington Post or the New York Times write stories trashing Republicans is the same as working with the Democratic National Committee.
If you want to talk about the need to raise more money to promote our candidates versus the Democrats’ terrible candidates, I agree. If you want to trash-talk our candidates to help the Democrats, pipe down. That’s not what leaders do. And Republicans need to be leaders that build up the team and do everything they can to get the entire team over the finish line.
Ultimately, though, when you complain and lament that we have “bad candidates,” what you are really saying is that you have contempt for the voters who chose them. Now we are at the heart of the matter. Much of Washington’s chattering class disrespects and secretly (or not so secretly) loathes Republican voters.
CONFIRMED: FBI Colluded With Big Tech To Prevent Voters From Learning About Hunter Biden’s Laptop
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted that Facebook algorithmically suppressed stories about Hunter Biden’s laptop during the 2020 election at the request of the FBI weeks before the November contest.
Speaking on Joe Rogan’s podcast on Thursday, Zuckerberg said the FBI approached employees at the tech giant to warn that the laptop was a vehicle of Russian interference.
“The FBI basically came to us and spoke to some folks on our team and was like, ‘Hey, just so you know, you should be on high alert. We thought that there was a lot of Russian propaganda on the 2016 election. We have it on notice that basically there’s about to be some kind of dump similar to that,’” Zuckerberg said. The CEO did not say precisely when the discussion took place.
In mid-October, the New York Post published content from the abandoned laptop revealing that then-candidate Joe Biden had been lying when he repeatedly claimed that he never spoke business with his son, “or with anyone else.” Emails found on the hard drive also showed that the former vice president stood to personally profit from Hunter’s business dealings thanks to close affiliates with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Moments after the stories broke, Facebook promptly announced through a corporate spokesman, who was previously a Democratic operative, that the company would be “reducing its distribution on our platform” pending verification by third-party fact-checkers.
“I think it was 5 to 7 days when it was basically being determined whether it was false,” Zuckerberg said, without disclosing which third parties conducted the network’s so-called fact check. “Fewer people saw it than would have otherwise.”
Exodus From Blue States And Schools Sends Clear Message: Voters Don’t Share Democrats’ Vision For America
Americans’ reasons for fleeing blue states show there is widespread opposition to the Democratic Party’s radical priorities.
One of my guilty pleasures is hunting down fellow West Coast émigrés — my church and children’s school are full of them — to compare notes and trade blue state horror stories. Their anecdotes are not only consistent with my own personal experience, but they’re increasingly bearing out in nationwide data on both interstate migration and public-school enrollment.
As the developing picture comes into focus, it seems extraordinary that a population who voted in 2020 with unprecedented enthusiasm for the Democratic Party has simultaneously fled with equal gusto the states, cities, and public school systems managed by the Democrats.
Population data released by the Census Bureau at the end of 2021 indicated that a massive demographic shift was underway. Nine out of 10 of the states (including the District of Columbia) with the highest numeric population decline between 2020 and 2021 are controlled by Democrats. The greatest exodus was from New York, California, and Illinois. Democrat-run cities are also bleeding residents, with New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago topping the list.
Republicans Reveal Plan to Stop the Swamp From Silencing Americans
A measure to block the Biden administration from pressuring social media sites to censor conservative opinions was introduced in Congress Wednesday by senior GOP congressional leaders.
The proposed legislation, The Protecting Speech from Government Interference Act, would block members of the current administration as well as federal bureaucrats from using their positions of influence or authority to promote censorship online in any way.
The proposed legislation, The Protecting Speech from Government Interference Act, would block members of the current administration as well as federal bureaucrats from using their positions of influence or authority to promote censorship online in any way.
The bill, H.R. 8752, is the latest in a series of proposals and counterproposals being made to address allegations consumers of social media are being manipulated by individuals and entities engaged in the deliberate posting of erroneous information intended to shape political positions and drive people to action. (RELATED: It’s Official – Disinformation Governance Board Goes Underground)
Critics of the approach to the problem taken by former President Donald J. Trump and others, who see a role for government in the debate, whether it is the breaking up of the companies that operate the platforms or establishing rules for content moderation that removes the safeguards protecting platform operators from legal action, say concerns about the potential for government-led or government-directed suppression of speech should be the paramount concern.
Grandparent Scams Get Victims in Their Hearts
If you get a call from someone who claims to be your grandchild in trouble and needing money right away, be wary. Don’t send any money or give any information until you verify the story.
Grandparents have special bonds with their grandchildren, and scammers know it. Thieves get money from their victims by exploiting this vulnerability. These victims receive phone calls from people claiming to be their grandchildren, or someone representing them. They say they’ve been in an accident, are under arrest or in trouble in a foreign country and need money fast. But the only urgency is with the scammers, who will sometimes even come to the victim’s home to pick up the money.
The scammers often will work as teams, with some participants in the scheme posing as attorneys or bail bondsmen or medical professionals. Part of the approach includes telling victims not to speak of what happened, keeping them from checking out their stories.
The imperative is to act quickly, to hand over cash. Sometimes, a scheme participant will come to the victim’s home to pick up the money.
In 2021, more than 450 Americans over 60 reported being victimized by grandparent scams that bilked them out of an estimated $6.5 million, according to a report from the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
Genevieve Waterman of the National Council on Aging said grandparent scams have been growing over the last couple of years and has been evolving with technology. One technique the scammers use is to record the voice of a grandchild and modify it for use in a call to the grandparent. This, she said, can be easy when the grandchild has a large social media presence. Scammers can search social media or Google to get voice recordings to use. “There’s so many opportunities to trick someone if you think you hear your grandchild’s voice,” Waterman said. “It tugs at the heartstrings.”
