The Far Left Progressives Run the Democratic Party

Only in the world of radical liberalismcan more of an opportunity to do something be “suppression”; requiring one to prove they are who they say they are as “racism”; and applying the same rules to everyone as “anti-civil rights.” – Raynard Jackson (Read his op-ed titled Once again, Democrats are off to the racists in the articles below)

Ruling by Presidential Fiat: President Biden now has signed MANY more Executive Orders than any other president in our country’s history in an effort to rule by Presidential fiat.

He has implemented and pushed progressive liberal policies that he could NOT get passed by Congress. That is clearly NOT what our Founders intended.

Ironically, where is the Executive Order for a Balance Budget…to spend within our means?

Where is the Executive Order to stop riots and looting in America’s streets?

Where is the Executive Order to bring our troops home from endless wars?

Where is the Executive Order to protect our daughters and granddaughters from biological men who are pushing them out of sports and using their bathrooms?

Where is the Executive Order to work in a bipartisan fashion (as promised)?

Apparently the so called “moderate” President has gone rogue and has sold out to the far-left progressives trying to change the basic foundations of our Republic.

This is NOT your parents Democratic Party… they are WAY off to the left of mainstream America.

Forced Bipartisanship: Senator Joe Machin in confirming his conviction to preserve the filibuster and look for bipartisan consensus in FORCING Democrats in Washington to stop shoving their progressive left wing agenda down our throats and start looking for consensus.

His noble position, as well as his Democratic colleague Senator Kyrsten Sinema from Arizona, is forcing legislators to get back to legislating and stop all the partisan bickering.

For decades Republicans and Democrats tried to work together to do what’s right for America. Today the far left progressive wing of the Democratic Party is in control and has NO interest in looking for consensus, let alone the middle ground.

We need more leaders like Manchin & Sinema, who are mainstream Democrats, to stand up to the crazy left and bring folks back to the table. –

‘Trojan horse’: Republicans say moderate Biden has ceded all control to radical left

The Democrats’ Trojan horse is inside the White House gates and wasting no time.

President Biden, who campaigned as a no-drama moderate Democrat, has embarked on a sweeping far-left agenda of massive tax increases, climate-change mandates and more red tape.

In less than three months, Mr. Biden has rammed through Congress a nearly $2 trillion economic relief bill with no Republican support. Now he’s teeing up an infrastructure and jobs plan that would cost upwards of $3 trillion and implement another wish list of unfulfilled longtime Democratic priorities.

Beyond the spending, tax and regulatory actions, Mr. Biden is pushing a broad expansion of the social safety net and entitlements on a level not seen since the 1960s.

“What I see are the fingerprints of Bernie Sanders and AOC on almost every policy that comes from the White House,” said Sen. Bill Hagerty, Tennessee Republican, referring to the socialist senator from Vermont and liberal Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York. “It’s tragic that America was misled in the way that the Biden-Harris campaign misled them.”

275 Sheriffs from 39 States Are Sounding the Alarm on the Dangerous Biden Border Crisis

A letter signed by 275 sheriffs from all across the United States was sent to President Joe Biden on April 7 imploring him to secure the nation’s borders and end the illegal migration crisis raging at our southern border. The sheriffs, representing 39 states, expressed their grave concerns about the national security and humanitarian crisis at the border and laid the blame squarely on the president’s policies.

“America’s Sheriffs are deeply troubled about the dangerous impacts your administration’s border policies are having on our citizens, legal residents and communities,” they wrote. The elected law enforcement officials, from both political parties, demanded that the Biden administration take immediate action to restore order at the border. “You must act now before our nation’s public safety resources are overwhelmed with the criminal side effects of unchecked illegal immigration, including transnational gangs, guns, dangerous drugs and human trafficking,” they warned.

Mark Morgan, a Senior Fellow at the Federation for American Immigration Reform and former chief of the U.S. Border Patrol and former acting director of Customs and Border Protection reaffirmed the urgency of the sheriffs’ demand for action. “I have just returned from the southern border. What I witnessed was nothing short of an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, and a national security and public health crisis – one which was created by this administration beginning the day President Biden took office.

Migrant Apprehensions Jump 72 Percent in One Month — Up 450 Percent from Last March

Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 170,000 migrants in March who illegally crossed the border into the United States. This represents an increase of nearly 72 percent in one month.

During the month of March, Border Patrol agents took 168,195 migrants after they illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico according to the Southwest Land Border Encounters report released on Thursday by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

“CBP has experienced an increase in encounters and arrests. This is not new. Encounters have continued to increase since April 2020, and our past experiences have helped us be better prepared for the challenges we face this year,” said CBP Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Commissioner Troy Miller in a written statement. “We are committed to balancing the need to maintain border security, care for those in our custody, and keep the American people and our workforce safe.”

While Miller says this is “not new,” it is exponential unprecedented growth as indicated by the blue line in the following CBP chart.

Joe Biden’s War On The Second Amendment

I examine Biden’s promised gun control policies and the effect they will have on your rights

Today President Biden discussed new gun control measures, executive action, and introduced his nominee for ATF Director.

Let’s first examine what he’s launched today and then take a look at the rest of his gun control proposals.

NEW ATF DIRECTOR

The President will nominate David Chipman to serve as Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. ATF is the key agency enforcing our gun laws, and it needs a confirmed director in order to do the job to the best of its ability. But ATF has not had a confirmed director since 2015. Chipman served at ATF for 25 years and now works to advance commonsense gun safety laws.

Chipman, a former government agent who had roles in both Ruby Ridge and Waco (he falsely claimed that Branch Davidians shot down two Air National Guard helicopters), who advocated the closure of gun stores during lockdown as “nonessential businesses,” who wants to ban all semi-auto firearms, and who tried to shame law-abiding gun owners as irrationally fearful after a year of watching violent riots and hearing Democrats call to defund police. He’s spent there better part of the last 10+ years working for Bloomberg-funded gun control groups and has zero idea what “well-regulated” means. Get ready for one of the most activist ATFs perhaps in history.

Biden’s Infrastructure Bill Aims to End Single-Family Zoning

With the introduction of his massive, $2.3 trillion “infrastructure” bill, President
Biden’s campaign to end suburban single-family zoning has begun. If you think
this issue was debated and resolved during the 2020 presidential campaign, you
pledged to abolish single-family zoning. As soon as President Trump made an
issue of that pledge, however, Biden went virtually silent on the issue and the
Democrat-supporting press falsely denied that Biden had any designs on singlefamily zoning at all. Now that he’s president, Biden’s infrastructure bill openly
includes programs designed to “eliminate” single-family zoning (which Biden
calls “exclusionary zoning”).

How, exactly, does Biden plan to end single-family zoning? According to the fact
sheet released by the White House, “Biden is calling on Congress to enact an
innovative new competitive grant program that awards flexible and attractive
funding to jurisdictions that take concrete steps to eliminate [‘exclusionary
zoning’].” In other words, Biden wants to use a big pot of federal grant money as
bait. If a county or municipality agrees to weaken or eliminate its single-family
zoning, it gets the federal bucks.

The wildly overreaching Obama-Biden era Affirmatively Furthering Fair
Housing (AFFH) regulation — which Biden has pledged to revive — works in a
similar fashion. The difference is that by adding another gigantic pot of federal
money to the Community Development Block Grants that are the lure of AFFH,
Biden makes it that much harder for suburbs to resist applying — and that much
more punishing to jurisdictions that forgo a share of the federal taxes they’ve
already paid so as to protect their right to self-rule.

Well said…Joe Manchin: I will not vote to eliminate or weaken the filibuster

Joe Manchin III, a Democrat, represents West Virginia in the Senate.

When Americans vote to send their two senators to Washington, they trust that they will work to represent the interests of their state on equal footing with 98 other senators. I have always said, “If I can’t go home and explain it, I can’t vote for it.” And I respect that each of my colleagues has the same responsibility to their constituents.

It’s no accident that a state as small as West Virginia has the same number of senators as California or Texas. It goes to the heart of what representative government is all about. The Founding Fathers understood that the challenges facing a rural or small state would always be very different from a more populous state. Designating each state with the same number of senators — regardless of the population — ensured that rural and small states and the Americans who live in them would always have a seat at the table.

The filibuster is a critical tool to protecting that input and our democratic form of government. That is why I have said it before and will say it again to remove any shred of doubt: There is no circumstance in which I will vote to eliminate or weaken the filibuster. The time has come to end these political games, and to usher a new era of bipartisanship where we find common ground on the major policy debates facing our nation.

Think about the recent history. In 2013, Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) led the charge to change Senate rules to eliminate the filibuster for Cabinet-level nominees and federal judges. I was one of only three Democratic senators to vote against this rule change. In 2017, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) proposed to lower the threshold to end debate on Supreme Court nominees to a simple majority. I voted against that change, too. Despite my votes, both rules changes were enacted and the filibuster was weakened, allowing the majority to more easily enact its agenda with little to no input from the minority.

Every time the Senate voted to weaken the filibuster in the past decade, the political dysfunction and gridlock have grown more severe. The political games playing out in the halls of Congress only fuel the hateful rhetoric and violence we see across our country right now. The truth is, my Democratic friends do not have all the answers and my Republican friends do not, either. This has always been the case.

Once again, Democrats are off to the racists

Once again the Democrats are off to the racists. Every time they can’t explain their position on some public policy issue, they accuse Republicans and conservatives of being racist.

Look no further than the state of Georgia.

Almost two weeks ago, Gov. Brian Kemp signed SB 202 into law. It was an election reform bill that Democrats effectively branded as “racist,” “voter suppression” and “anti-civil rights.”

he law expands early voting for primary and general elections, includes more voting on Saturdays and Sundays, and requires voter ID.

Only in the world of radical liberalism can more of an opportunity to do something be “suppression”; requiring one to prove they are who they say they are as “racism”; and applying the same rules to everyone as “anti-civil rights.”

But, as I am fond of saying, even when Republicans and conservatives do the right thing, they do it the wrong way.

Ballot Equality: Who Really Defends the Votes of Black Americans?

Buried in the liberal lie that vote security somehow “suppresses” votes of black Americans is the truth: it protects their vote security, as well. Even in minority communities, ballots themselves are color blind.

Deep in the cynical assertion that protecting votes is “racist” is the inference that black votes aren’t important enough to be protected. Liberals and their Democrat allies face two stumbling blocks in demonstrating legitimate concern about minority voting — the past and the present. They own the history of voting discrimination based on race, and they still practice it today.

To assert that vote security is “racist,” it must first be established that minorities are separate and unequal from other voters, and less competent at meeting voting requirements. But all Americans must show ID for driving, banking, voting in union elections, going to post-secondary school, and purchasing certain products. The Left’s anti–vote security influencers are currently focused on Georgia’s new voting laws, which require voter identity verification with photo ID. Democrats claim this discriminates against black voters in particular.

Media Went from Covering the Georgia Voting Law to Prosecuting the Case Against It

Maybe you are a business owner incensed over Georgia’s new voting law, but you don’t know how to transform your company into a vehicle for left-wing activism. Fortunately, CBS News is here to help.

On Friday, the news outlet promoted a report via CBS Money Watch reporter Khristopher Brooks with the efficient headline, “3 ways companies can help fight Georgia’s restrictive new voting law.” The article itemized the ways in which corporate America can join the fight, including halting donations to certain undesirables within the Georgia GOP, advocating against these and other similar laws with the imprimatur of a corporate letterhead, and backing the increased federalization of state-level elections.

The article was attacked for blurring the line between reporting on political outcomes and seeking them, and CBS soon edited the offending headline into something more passive. But the shame to which this outlet was subjected must have come as a surprise. CBS was only contributing to a project in which much of the political press has been engaged for weeks.

Satellite images show huge Russian military buildup in the Arctic

Russia is amassing unprecedented military might in the Arctic and testing its newest weapons in a region freshly ice-free due to the climate emergency, in a bid to secure its northern coast and open up a key shipping route from Asia to Europe.

Weapons experts and Western officials have expressed particular concern about one Russian ‘super-weapon,’ the Poseidon 2M39 torpedo. Development of the torpedo is moving fast with Russian President Vladimir Putin requesting an update on a “key stage” of the tests in February from his defense minister Sergei Shoigu, with further tests planned this year, according to multiple reports in state media.

This unmanned stealth torpedo is powered by a nuclear reactor and intended by Russian designers to sneak past coastal defenses — like those of the US — on the sea floor.

The device is intended to deliver a warhead of multiple megatons, according to Russian officials, causing radioactive waves that would render swathes of the target coastline uninhabitable for decades.

In November, Christopher A Ford, then assistant secretary of state for International Security and Non-Proliferation, said the Poseidon is designed to “inundate U.S. coastal cities with radioactive tsunamis.”

Existential Threat — Or Politics As Usual?

In Washington — and in many state capitols — legislators and activists have cast voting legislation in apocalyptic terms, claiming that any change in voter law represents an existential threat to democracy as we know it. New rules on obtaining a ballot are decried as suppression, while anything that opens access to voters is an invitation to fraud. But, for many voters, these laws aren’t threatening the future of democracy; instead, they are just the latest example of the two parties using any means necessary to give themselves electoral advantages.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to watch two focus groups of white swing voters. One group was more conservative-leaning (all had voted for Trump but were defined as not particularly enthusiastic about him, i.e. these are not Trump super fans ), the other group included those who voted for Biden in 2020 after voting for Trump in 2016. In other words, these are the kinds of voters that would be open to more nuanced arguments about issues. They aren’t simply knee-jerk Trump or Biden voters.

My analysis of these focus groups, of course, should be taken with the proper caveats. These are just ten voters. Their views are not representative of every kind of Trump-Biden or Trump skeptical voter in the country. The conversation allows us to appreciate how many ‘regular’ folks are processing this moment.

Despite President Trump’s unfounded claims of voter fraud, a violent attack on the U.S. Capitol, and a flurry of bills being introduced around the country that could restrict access to the ballot, no one in either group thought that the right to vote was under attack. One man who had voted for Trump in 2016 and Biden in 2020 said “if you want to vote you can figure out a way to do it.” The other four Trump-Biden voters nodded in agreement. All of the non-enthusiastic Trump voters believed that it is “easy to vote” (“I’ve never had a problem with it,” said one of them). Another said, “if you want to vote, you’ll make it a priority.”

Ending Civil Asset Forfeiture Should Be a Bipartisan Project

Some states have taken action. It’s time for the federal government to do the same.

During the seemingly endless run-up to the last election, my partisan friends would often say to me, “politics is binary.” Their point is that voters only have two serious choices in any election, the Democrats or the Republicans. We need to pick a side and then, apparently, serve as cheerleaders for whatever that side is doing.

As a libertarian who doesn’t like either choice, I often scream in frustration. Baltimore Journalist H.L. Mencken succinctly captures my view of the reigning Democrats and Republicans: “Under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to prove that the other party is unfit to rule—and both commonly succeed, and are right.” He believed that our political history is “simply a record of vacillations between two gangs of frauds.”
