Mobs vs Jobs: This is the choice the Democrats are offering us. This is NOT your father’s Democratic party. The days of John F. Kennedy are long gone. The crazy left that advocates resistance, violence, open borders, anti-police and has so much of the mainstream media on board has taken over.
Under President Trump and the Republicans more Americans are working, unemployment amongst black Americans, Hispanic Americans and others is at all time lows. The stock market is back. Jobs are back across the board and we have record growth, growth in our economy that Obama boldly stated would “never” come back.
Well it’s back under President Trump!
Crackpot Pipe Bomber: Lock him up and throw away the key. There is NO room for violence, especially when it comes to political beliefs and debate. Speech is NOT violence.
This guy was a crackpot with a long history of “problems”. The hypocrisy of Democrats who try to blame the President for the rhetoric…from Maxine Waters to Hillary Clinton to Eric Holder.
Virtually all the violence is advocated by ANTIFA, Democratic leaders and liberal demonstrators.
The President has been attacked verbally, Republicans have been attacked for expressing their views…name all the Democratic leaders, Hollywood liberals and mainstream media that demonized Trump and his supporters.
Somehow the Democrats take a few crazy folks and racists and try to blame all the Trump supporters in one bucket. No excuse for the ignorant racists demonstrating around the country, but it doesn’t compare to ANTIFA and the other looney left wingers in virtually every major city and university campus.
The rhetoric is heated. But we’ll see how the Democrats act after the election. I’m not optimistic when I watch these folks on various news programs.
Resistance is a horrible strategy that is dividing America.
Immigration: I am 100% for legal, vetted and merit based immigration. My family immigrated here from Lithuania and I didn’t learn to speak English until I was about 7 years old.
A mob of illegal aliens, illegally crossing the border is NOT immigration, it’s an invasion.
We are a nation built on the rule of law. What kind of potential citizens are we inviting if their first act is to violate our law. This complete disregard for our sovereignty and politicizing our immigration policies by taking advantage of so many well intended potential immigrants who would like to come to America is a shame.
How can anyone not feel sorry for the thousands of people from Central America placed in unknown danger and used as pawns by those seeking to undermine our immigration laws, smuggle in drugs and/or terrorist and bankrupt our country.
There is a process to become a legal resident and/or citizen of this great country. The U.S. has a generous asylum and refugee program, which is the proper way for migration. Those who violate the law, ignore the process, invade our borders via orchestrated mobs should be turned back…period.
The mob cannot be allowed to succeed. It will only lead to more mobs. Our society and streets are already being vandalized by local terrorist who clearly intend on destroying our country as we know it.
So just as your Democratic candidate for Congress or Senate the following:
• Do you support letting them into the US?
• Would you send any back?
• Once here, who should pay for their health care?
• Once here, who should pay for the food and housing?
• Where should they live?
• Do you support ICE, building a wall and/or open borders?
Pay attention America. Don’t encourage or reward the mob, political terrorists or the far left progressive Democratic leaders encouraging disrupting our society for political gain.
Our children and grandchildren deserve a civil society based on the rule of law.
Why Trump and the GOP will win suburban women voters like me
There appear to be concerns that President Trump’s choice to call Stormy Daniels a “horseface” will cause him to lose suburban women voters in November.
It won’t, and here’s why.
First, there’s the assumption that suburban women are a monolith. We are not. We are as diverse in our opinions as any other group of Americans. Second, there’s an even greater assumption that we’ll be so offended by Trump’s behavior toward women we’ll finally say, “Enough!”
But here’s the thing: Trump’s boorish behavior is not specifically aimed at women. That’s his modus operandi toward any person, male or female, who attacks him. Indeed, the man doesn’t discriminate at all. There’s no reason for women, in suburbia or anywhere else, to feel slighted due to their sex.
Do women voters actually like Trump? That’s hard to answer, but I believe Heather Mac Donald said it best: “I view Trump as an incredibly painful dilemma: I support his policies but deplore his personality. I don’t think he’s a racist and sexist. I just think he is the worst possible example of an adult male. He is thin-skinned, gratuitously vindictive, the opposite of magnanimous.”
Trump invites young black conservatives to White House
President Trump has invited hundreds of young black conservative leaders to the White House Friday to hear him speak, The Post has learned.
The president will address attendees of the first ever Young Black Leadership Summit, being put on by conservative student group, Turning Point USA.
It’s not a big surprise that Trump would take a breather from his bustling rally schedule to address the young people – he’s shown support for the group in the past – and there’s a Kanye West connection.
Charlie Kirk, Turning Point’s 25-year-old founder and president, interviewed Trump in March as part of the “Generation Next” forum, a day’s worth of programming in the Eisenhower Office Building for young conservative leaders.
‘Caravan’ Just Turned Blue Wave into Red Tsunami
Democrats have made the biggest mistake in the history of U.S. politics. I’m not even talking about the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. That was the second-worst mistake.
I’m talking about the timing of the caravan coming from Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico to the U.S. border. I suspect this is the work of liberal, socialist and communist activists under the direction of George Soros (and other America-hating, open-borders-loving billionaire donors to the Democrat Party). They wanted to embarrass Trump and cause an international incident. But boy, did they miscalculate.
This is the perfect issue at the perfect time for Trump and the GOP. This has made illegal immigration, open borders, sanctuary cities, the Abolish ICE Movement, the wall and every other immigration issue the defining, shining moment of the 2018 election. These are the issues that elected Trump. These are the issues that make Trump look like a genius and soothsayer.
Trump at 36 percent approval among African-Americans, new poll finds
Donald Trump has nearly doubled his approval rating among African Americans in the last year.
Even as cable news networks debate reports of the existence of a recording of President Donald Trump using a racial slur, a new poll from Rasmussen Reports says that the president’s approval rating among African-Americans is at 36 percent, nearly double his support at this time last year.
“Today’s @realDonaldTrump approval ratings among black voters: 36%,” Rasmussen said in a tweet. “This day last year: 19%.”
Legal immigration enriches America – Illegal immigration doesn’t
I’m a George W. Bush, pro-immigration reform Republican, the son of an immigrant and someone who welcomes legal immigrants to our country. But the caravan of roughly 7,000 would-be asylum seekers marching through Mexico toward the U.S. represents all that is wrong with our immigration system.
The people marching here would be better served if they applied to come to America legally. If they try to come here illegally they should not be let in.
One of the reasons the U.S. is attractive to immigrants is because we are a nation of laws. But that doesn’t mean that the first thing immigrants can do is break the law to get here. They can’t.
Nor can all immigrants claim refugee or asylum status. Most of those who come here from Mexico and Central America seek to escape poverty in their native countries. If everyone everywhere who lives in poverty marched into the United States, our immigration laws would become meaningless and our country would go broke.
‘Fair Share’ Reality Check: The Top Three Percent Paid More Than Half of All Federal Income Taxes
The much-maligned top one percent paid more than 37 percent of all federal income taxes that year, which is the most recent on record for which we have data. The top three percent footed just over half of the total federal income tax bill. And those in the top five percent were responsible for paying nearly 60 cents of every federal income tax dollar collected by Uncle Sam.
If you look at the black lines on the bar graph above, you will see that the federal income tax share paid by “the rich” far outpaced their respective portions of the nation’s overall earnings. The bottom half of US earners — 50 percent of the country — paid approximately three percent of all federal income taxes in 2016, slightly less than the contributions of the top .001 percent alone.
The Left’s political stories about “fair shares” and “millionaires and billionaires” may pack a potent rhetorical punch in the service of fueling grievance politics and class warfare, but they’re not grounded in facts and omit crucial perspective. It’s worth noting that in the latest NBC/WSJ poll, the GOP holds a record-high 15 point lead over Democrats on the economy.
Illegal Immigrant Caravan: Real Election Meddling By The Left
The “caravan” of illegal immigrants from Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras now making its way to the U.S. border is no accident. The timing, planning and financing of this tragic parade has but one intent: to disrupt and influence our midterm elections. Is this what the left means by “election meddling”? The heart-rending shots of dirt-poor people from Central America have been making the evening news, which pretends this is some kind of spontaneous movement to come to the U.S. rather than an organized attempt at disruption.
Women and children have been shoved to the fore of the columns to hide the fact that many of the 4,000 to 10,000-strong throng of people are in fact working-age males, not families. Already, in crossing the narrow entry from Guatemala into Mexico, the peaceful “caravan” members got violent, injuring four Mexican border police who stood in their way. It prompted a response from Mexico’s president.
“Violent entry into the country not only threatens our sovereignty, but also puts the migrants themselves at risk,” Mexico’s President Pena Nieto said on social media. “Mexico does not permit and will not permit entry into its territory in an irregular fashion, much less in a violent fashion.”
…As the the architects of our welfare system, Democrats have the most to gain from open borders and the new Democratic votes that would bring. As such, their repeated insistence they don’t support open borders rings hollow. No, we are not anti-immigrant. We are anti-illegal immigrant. Come here as the law prescribes, get your green card, assimilate to American culture, obey its laws, and become a citizen. That’s the route that made America a success. We’re pro-immigration.
We need to send a message to the world: You’re welcome here to visit or to immigrate through legal channels. But we won’t tolerate further violations of our immigration laws. We can’t allow large groups of people, even if some are desperate, to violate our borders. It’s time to build that wall, stop all illegal immigration, and restore our border.
Common Sense Reforms – 25 no-brainer immigration plans to make America safer — and win the election
Republicans are bleeding their traditional suburban voters at a quick pace. They are without a narrative and nearly out of time to make a difference for this election. When they return from summer recess, they have one final opportunity to either make a big play on the top issue on voter’s minds. Or they could simply monkey it up by running out the clock while they are losing.
According to recent polls, immigration is the top concern of voters. And for good reason. It touches on every important economic, security, and cultural issue voters care about, and unlike other issues, it is amazingly simple to solve. We can choose our own immigrants, period.
Here is a list of 25 ideas, most of which have already been introduced as legislation, that are political winners and will completely reorient the narrative of this election. This is not a complete list of the best ways to deter illegal immigration and reform the broader system, but they are all common sense reforms that are easy to communicate and would effectively deter illegal immigration without touching on certain sensitivities of weak GOP members (assuming they really want to solve the issue). As you are reading through them, imagine the powerful ads that could be created to expose all the Democrats opposing them, particularly those senators up for re-election in red states.
After the Mail Bombs
Cesar Sayoc, like James Hodgkinson, is from the extreme lunatic fringe.
“Af¬ter the Con¬gres¬sional shoot¬ing, no se¬ri¬ous per¬son sug¬gested that Bernie Sanders had cre¬ated James Hodgkin¬son.”
By any measure, these packages represented a grave public threat. So it was astonishing, even by current standards, to see this threat degenerate immediately into the familiar and crude narrative of the Democrats versus Donald Trump. Congressional leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi asserted in a joint statement, even after a calming presidential statement, that “the President has condoned physical violence and divided Americans.” A New York magazine headline online Friday read: “Trump’s party is the petri dish for diseased minds that grew Cesar Sayoc.”
..Both sides should step back from this toxicity, and that offers a particular opportunity to Donald Trump. Someone in authority has to display leadership, and Presidents in these circumstances have a special platform. He is upset, with reason, that he’s getting blamed for Cesar Sayoc. But Mr. Trump should understand that the Democratic and media resistance wants him to respond in kind and escalate, so they can blame him some more.
He will get more credit than he imagines if he surprises them by rising above for once and urging partisans on all sides to return to a saner, less virulent politics.
