Recognized as one of the top young national conservative leaders
(Alexandria, Virginia) – The 60 Plus Association, whose 7.1 million national supporters have made it the largest conservative seniors advocacy group in the nation, is proud to announce that its President, Amy Frederick, will be honored at an awards ceremony Thursday with the prestigious ‘Buckley Award’. Frederick was chosen for the honor by the Young Conservative Coalition.
The ‘Buckley Award’ is named on behalf of the late William F. Buckley, founder of National Review and the intellectual godfather to the modern conservative movement. As stated by the YCC, the award recognizes individuals between the ages of 21 and 40 “who have made a significant contribution to the conservative movement at large in the last year.”
“I am honored to have earned this great award bearing the name of William F. Buckley, who has long been a personal hero of mine—taking on the establishment in the name of principles” said Frederick. “The YCC is a tremendous organization and important voice in our extended conservative family. It is an honor to be recognized for all the hard work we’ve accomplished, and a wonderful affirmation that we are making a difference toward our goal of building a better future for all Americans.”
Said 60 Plus Chairman Jim Martin, “While Amy is well short of 40, she is going into her 12th year with 60 Plus and is clearly a superstar on the national scene — and I believe she’s just getting started. Named President just over a year ago by the 60 Plus Board of Directors, Amy has been instrumental in adding two million seniors to our rolls. In a town where most people earn their living by talking, Amy Frederick is a doer. She makes a difference. Kudos to the YCC for their wise selection of Amy for one of these awards. Her ‘courage under fire’ on behalf of the elderly makes all of us at 60 Plus so proud of her.”
Frederick lives in Montclair, Virginia with her husband Jeff. They have three children; Gracie (5), Isabel (2) and Michael (6 months).
The YCC awards ceremony takes place Thursday, September 29th at the Capitol Hill Club from 6-8PM.
