60 Plus Challenges Outcomes of Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown’s Support for Government Spending in New Ad

Senior advocacy group places $1 million ad buy

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The 60 Plus Association, nationally recognized as the conservative alternative to the liberal AARP, today launched a new TV ad campaign that challenges the outcomes of Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown’s votes for multiple government bailouts, the failed $831 billion stimulus, and Obama’s health care takeover.

“Ohio seniors and their families are facing serious and regressive challenges as a result of Senator Brown’s support for unbridled government spending,” said Jim Martin, Chairman and Founder of 60 Plus, in announcing the ad buy.  “The bailouts and bureaucratic takeovers supported by Senator Brown and his Senate colleagues have increased joblessness in Ohio and across the country, failed to alleviate skyrocketing health care costs, and put our families’ interests and liberties at risk.  Ohio taxpayers need real results, not the empty promises that come with big-government spending.”

The $1 million ad buy will run statewide from June 6 to June 12.  Click here to view the television ad or visit www.60plus.org for more information.

ANNOUNCER:
Has Sherrod Brown been fighting for Ohio?  Since Brown’s been in Washington, he’s helped our national debt increase more than $11 trillion by voting for every bailout proposed by Bush and Obama.

He also voted for the failed $831 billion stimulus.  And for President Obama’s health care takeover, that Ohioans overwhelmingly reject.

Today, more than 400,000 Ohioans are out of work.  Families are struggling.  And our health care costs are skyrocketing.

Tell Sherrod Brown:  we need real results, not more spending.
