60 Plus Highlights Dan Maffei’s Big Spending Record in New Ad

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The 60 Plus Association, nationally recognized as the conservative alternative to the liberal AARP, today launched a new television ad campaign that highlights Dan Maffei’s record, which includes his support for Washington’s wasteful stimulus and Nancy Pelosi’s $2 trillion health care law.  The ad, which is backed by a $100,000 ad buy, will begin running in New York’s 24th Congressional District on October 18.

“New York fired Dan Maffei from Congress two years ago because he put Washington’s big-spending agenda ahead of New York’s interests,” said Jim Martin, Chairman and Founder of 60 Plus.  “Maffei empowered a board of unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats to make medical decisions for seniors and he voted to take $716 billion from seniors in order to create a piggy bank for other government programs.  Neither seniors nor working New Yorkers can afford Maffei in Washington again.”

ANNOUNCER:

Why did we fire Dan Maffei two years ago?

Was it because Maffei voted for Washington’s wasteful trillion-dollar stimulus?

Or his vote for Nancy Pelosi’s two trillion dollar health care law?

Or maybe we fired Maffei for the $700 billion he voted to take from Medicare?

The last time Maffei was in Washington, he voted for Pelosi’s liberal agenda 96 percent of the time.

We already fired Dan Maffei once.  We can’t afford him in Washington again.
