Kamala Harris’ pre-election media blitz didn’t make her look any better – it was just a massive flop
Vice President Kamala Harris finally sat down this week for multiple media interviews on consecutive days, a first for her presidential campaign.
Yet most of them weren’t interviews at all, but the journalistic version of a hot-stone massage.
The veep’s first major stop was at “60 Minutes.”
Refreshingly, and for the first time since she replaced Joe Biden atop the Democratic ticket, she was actually challenged with some uncomfortable questions and (gasp) even follow-ups.
Yet CBS correspondent Bill Whitaker seemed flummoxed by her non-answers and word salads on major topics like economic policy and illegal immigration, while Harris looked patently uncomfortable.
Only later did we learn CBS had extensively edited the chat to make Harris sound somewhat coherent.
Democrats start to hit the panic button
Democrats’ nerves are at an all-time high.
Two months ago — even a month ago — they were feeling bullish about Vice President Harris’s prospects of defeating former President Trump.
But now, with less than a month to go until Election Day, they’re increasingly worried about a number of issues plaguing the Democratic nominee’s campaign.
On Tuesday, there was grumbling from some Democrats about the vice president’s interview on CBS’s “60 Minutes.”
There’s also concern on everything from the static poll numbers in the race to the vice president’s messaging and even her standing with men — not just white men but Black and Hispanic men, too.
Some of this perhaps can just be chalked up to normal Democratic nerves ahead of what looks like it could be among the closest presidential elections in history. Either way, it’s nerve-racking for Democrats.
Kamala Harris Doubles Down On Facilitating Biden’s Border Invasion If Elected
During a Univision town hall on Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris doubled down on furthering the ongoing invasion at the U.S. southern border if elected president this November.
The moment came when a prospective voter questioned Harris about what she would do to support noncitizens who have resided in the United States “for years.” The Democrat nominee bragged about how “the first” piece of legislation the Biden-Harris administration sent to Congress was a bill that, among many things, sought to provide amnesty to illegal immigrants within the country.
Referred to by the White House as the U.S. Citizenship Act, the measure specifically would have allowed foreign nationals residing in the United States prior to Jan. 1, 2021, “to apply for temporary legal status, with the ability to apply for green cards after five years if they pass criminal and national security background checks and pay their taxes.” After a three-year waiting period, “all green card holders who pass additional background checks and demonstrate knowledge of English and U.S. civics can apply to become citizen.”
But Harris didn’t stop there. She went on to lament the death of a “border security bill” introduced by bipartisan members of Congress earlier this year, a bill that would have enshrined
A Troubled Place
In Charleroi, Pennsylvania, the local population grapples with a surge of Haitian migrants.
Charleroi, Pennsylvania, is a deeply troubled place. The former steel town, built along a stretch of the Monongahela River, south of Pittsburgh, has experienced the typical Rust Belt rise and fall. The industrial economy, which had turned it into something resembling a company town, hollowed out after the Second World War. Some residents fled; others succumbed to vices. The steel mills disappeared. Two drug-abuse treatment centers have since opened their doors.
The town’s population had steadily declined since the middle of the twentieth century, with the most recent Census reporting slightly more than 4,000 residents. Then, suddenly, things changed. Local officials estimate that approximately 2,000 predominantly Haitian migrants have moved in. The town’s Belgium Club and Slovak Club are mostly quiet nowadays, while the Haitians and other recent immigrants have quickly established their presence, even dominance, in a dilapidated corridor downtown.
This change—the replacement of the old ethnics with the new ethnics—is an archetypal American story. And, as in the past, it has caused anxieties and, at times, conflict.
The municipal government has felt the strain.
Here are the executive actions Biden signed in his first 100 days
President Joe Biden signed a flurry of executive actions in his first 100 days in office, primarily aimed at curbing the coronavirus pandemic and dismantling many of former President Donald Trump’s policies.
The executive actions include halting funding for the construction of Trump’s border wall, reversing Trump’s travel ban targeting largely Muslim countries, imposing a mask mandate on federal property, ramping up vaccination supplies, canceling the Keystone XL pipeline, ending federal use of private prisons and reversing Trump’s ban on transgender Americans joining the military.
In his first 100 days in office, Biden signed more than 60 executive actions, 24 of which are direct reversals of Trump’s policies.
Biden has defended the number as necessary to undo what he considers “bad policy” inherited from Trump, especially on immigration.
To date, 10 of his 12 actions on immigration are reversals of Trump’s policies.
“And I want to make it clear — there’s a lot of talk, with good reason, about the number of executive orders that I have signed — I’m not making new law; I’m eliminating bad policy,” Biden said as he signed a series of actions on immigration from the Oval Office on February 2. “What I’m doing is taking on the issues that — 99% of them — that the president, the last president of the United States, issued executive orders I felt were very counterproductive to our security, counterproductive to who we are as a country, particularly in the area of immigration.”

Developing a Conservative Anti-Corruption Reform Movement
The American people believe the American political system is corrupt.
This is alarming – but it also represents an enormous opportunity.
A conservative anti-corruption reform movement could attract a significant range of support – much broader than a merely ideologically defined effort.
A basis for this movement could be anchored in President John Adams’s warning that “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
A startlingly poll by America’s New Majority Project between Sept. 17 and Sept. 20 found that 80 percent of Americans in seven battle ground states agreed that we have a corrupt political system. Only 18 percent disagreed. This means that Americans think they are governed by a corrupt system by more than 4:1.
In fact, people believe the system is corrupt, and the corruption is a major obstacle to American success. By 6:1 (84 percent to 13 percent) Americans believe the corrupt political system is a big obstacle to getting America moving in the right direction. This sense of corruption led nearly one-fourth to say it is the biggest obstacle (23 percent) while 61 percent said it’s one of the biggest.
Americans see political corruption as a factor in government waste, inflation, and rising prices – and a driver of deeper political divisions.
‘Nuclear Bomb’ Study Shows 14,000 Children Have Undergone Trans Procedures
The transgender industry has exploded from a trickle of young males seeking transition procedures to thousands upon thousands of minors who have filled the industry’s bank account with more than $100 million, according to a groundbreaking new report.
The group Do No Harm has found nearly 14,000 minors have undergone transgender surgeries, puberty blockers, or cross-sex hormone injections between 2019 and 2023, generating nearly $120 million in revenue. The report documents that during those years:
13,994 children received transgender-related treatments
5,747 transgender “sex change” operations were carried out on children
“62,682 hormone and puberty blockers prescriptions [were] written for 8,579 pediatric patients”
“At least $119,791,202 made from sex change treatments performed on minors”
“This release of data is really a nuclear bomb,” Dr. Miriam Grossman told guest host Jody Hice on “Washington Watch” Wednesday. “We are led to believe by politicians and by many groups that these interventions are very rare and hardly happening at all in this country. And that is simply not true.”
These experimental procedures have proliferated, in part because of money, but also because “the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Psychiatric Association for many years have been taken over by a small group of activists who simply push their agendas forward and stifle debate,” Grossman noted. “And too many of my colleagues are simply spineless and not willing to speak up against it.”
