Accountability is Not Revenge… It’s Common Sense

The Rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God.

– President John F. Kennedy

The oldest fraud is the belief that the political left is the ideology of the poor and the oppressed.

– Thomas Sowell

A thorough knowledge of the Bible is worth more than a college education.

– Teddy Roosevelt

You must distinguish sharply between being pro-free enterprise and being pro-business.

– Milton Friedman

We need to reach the main goal, and this is our common goal, which we do not give up. We do not surrender our land, our sovereignty. I am grateful to all Ukrainians – man and woman – who are together on this path. Ukraine must survive the war, defend its independence, and guarantee the safety of people. It will definitely happen. Glory to Ukraine!

– Ukrainian President Zelensky

Those who think Ukraine should stop defending itself are not talking about peace they are talking about surrender.

– Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy

Many say they are tired of war. Ukrainians are tired of war too. But they are also tired of being bombed, occupied, tortured and killed. There is a difference between peace and capitulation.

– Kaja Kallas, EU Foreign Affairs Minister

China: It was great to see President Trump and President Xi have fruitful conversations about the issues affecting the world.

But we have to move forward with our eyes open and, yes… trust but verify what was agreed to.

Taiwan… no change… the U.S. reaffirmed its position on Taiwan, and its correct.

Religious persecution is still an issue and shouldn’t be swept under the rug.

Russia… still its strongest ally and could easily reign in Putin with one phone call.

Intellectual Property… a problem… needs to be monitored and enforced.

There are lots of other issues that shouldn’t be swept under the rug… and we should not be afraid to raise key issues.

The United States and China should be partners… but there is a LONG way to go. However, having a constructive dialogue and working relationship between the world’s two superpowers is critical, smart, and a strategic imperative.

President Trump delivered on that.

We’re lucky to have Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the Chairman of the Select Committee on China, Congressman John Moolenaar on top of the details… we’re in good hands.

Accountability vs Revenge: The Democrats and, particularly, team Obama politicized the government infrastructure for political, partisan gain. Obamagate/Russiagate and its related cover-up is far worse than Watergate.

Both are wrong. Both deserved to be investigated. And in both cases, folks deserve to go to jail.

This is unacceptable… no one is above the law, and we the people, deserve a fair, transparent, and honest system. Democracy only works when the electoral system works.

We are now discovering some very troublesome facts. Apparently, Obama and his team violated every norm when it comes to free and fair elections… and probably broke the law.

Examples of election fraud are coming to light… provable and deliberate efforts to cheat.

People need to be held accountable. Stealing your vote, my vote, or anyone’s vote is unacceptable.

America deserves no less.

Gerrymandering/Right to Vote: Amazing how the left progressives try to argue they are protecting democracy while advocating for destroying the very institutions that defend our Republic.

First, gerrymandering does NOT take away anyone’s right to vote or their voice in our process… it’s a cheap scare tactic that shouldn’t work.

Second, Democrats have gerrymandered states to their advantage in multiple states. The hypocrisy is baffling… but not surprising given their tactics.

The Supreme Court rules that using “race” as a factor to draw congressional lines is unconstitutional. A commonsense ruling unless you want to use “race baiting” for political gain.

So, states have to re-draw their districts. Virginia is the latest example of Democrats partisanship, and they should expect no less from states that have the option to respond in kind.

The bottom line is that no one is losing their voice or right to vote. The lines are changing, such is our process, partisan as it may be sometimes. Every voter has the same amount of voting power as they had before… one man/woman… one vote… it’s just that the Supreme Court rules that race should not be a factor and does dictate your political identity.

Judge your candidates on their character and policies… a novel idea.

Government Fraud is Huge: Unbelievable discoveries are emerging around our country. States, counties, municipalities, and school systems have engaged in mass government fraud… stealing your taxpayer dollars. Worse, many Democrats have either encouraged, empowered this fraud, or just turned a blind eye to it because their political allies are involved.

This kind of action should be condemned at every level. Republican or Democrat, fraud should be investigated, prosecuted, and punished.

Fraud is the best example of where government is out of control. Every municipality should have their own DOGE program.

The Supreme Court: To my liberal progressive friends, the Supreme Court isn’t “illegitimate” or “rigged” just because you don’t like some of their rulings.

For years, most conservatives didn’t like so many of the liberal court’s rulings… we lived with the results and hoped for a “better” court… eventually.

And now, the court has become more conservative than you may like. Just because you don’t agree with some or even all their rulings that doesn’t make it illegitimate.

Your response: “reform” the court by packing the court with new justices. Others now want “term limits.” So now you think it’s OK to “rig” the court?!?

The courts are supposed to “interpret” the law… it’s our system’s arbitrator. For better or for worse, justices are no different than average voters, they have a philosophical bias that at least most of them try to temper based on the law.

Today, I’m MUCH more comfortable with how the court rules on most issues, and I’m sure that will change as the system/process works its way through the electoral process.

There are a lot of “activist judges” that I’m not happy with. There should be a “process” for checks and balances…. but defending the integrity and process of our courts is key… if we are to survive as a country/society based on the rule of law.

Chinese President Makes Huge Promise to Trump

Trump said the Chinese president promised not to send military equipment to Iran as the U.S. and Israel remain in a military conflict with the regime. “That’s a big statement,” Trump said, noting that Xi “said that strongly.”

This is an important development as U.S. officials have alleged that the Chinese government has been helping the Iranian regime stay afloat by purchasing its oil and through business deals that weaken U.S. pressure on Tehran, according to Fox News.

Trump also explained that President Xi offered to assist in diplomatic negotiations. “He said, ‘if I can be of any help at all, I would like to be of help,’” Trump said. He also stated that they both agreed that “Iran can never have a nuclear weapon.”

Healthcare Software Company Owner Convicted For ‘Cold, Calculated’ $1,000,000,000 Medicare Fraud Conspiracy

A federal jury in the Southern District of Florida convicted the founder and owner of HealthSplash on Wednesday for his involvement in an over $1 billion Medicare fraud conspiracy.

Brett Blackman, 42, and his co-conspirators allegedly “aggressively targeted hundreds of thousands of Medicare beneficiaries to get them to accept medically unnecessary orthotic braces and other items,” according to a Department of Justice (DOJ) news release. Blackman and his co-conspirators then arranged for purported telemedicine doctors to sign bogus prescription orders for these items, so that their co-conspirators could bill Medicare for them.

In total, Blackman and his co-conspirators billed Medicare and other federal health care benefit programs over $1 billion for this unnecessary equipment, according to the DOJ.

“The Department of Justice crushed one of the most egregious fraud schemes in Florida history,” acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a Thursday statement. “This illegitimate operation stole more than $1 billion from American taxpayers — including hundreds of thousands of Medicare beneficiaries. This was cold, calculated, industrial-scale theft targeting the sick and elderly, coercing vulnerable people into buying unnecessary medical equipment.”

“We will not rest until every fraudster ripping off the American people is held accountable,” Blanche continued.

The Four Building Blocks of the 2026 Republican Victory

This is a formula for a huge Republican victory — if we can get gasoline under control and work on affordability so we are seen as the party trying to improve the lives of Americans.

Despite all the current gloom and doom talk about Republican chances this fall, I think it is likely that at the end of the campaign the American people will decisively reject the Democrats and retain the Republicans as the majority in the House and Senate.

I am an optimist because I know that President Donald J. Trump and his entire team know that by August gasoline prices must be coming down, and the American people must have a sense that affordability is being addressed by the Republicans. If gasoline prices remain as high as they are (or higher) no strategy will avoid a Republican defeat — and no amount of redrawing congressional districts will be able to overcome the wave of anger that will have built by Labor Day.

Since President Trump has shown an amazing ability to understand the American people and communicate with them effectively despite every effort of the liberal media, leftwing activists, the Democrats, and the establishment bureaucrats to stop him, I am reasonably confident he will find ways to bring down gasoline prices and take steps on affordability which will lead the American people to believe he understands their concerns.

With these assumptions in place there are four building blocks that could lead to an historic Republican victory in the House and Senate.

Former CIA Director Brennan Says There Are Still “Legions” Of Anti-Trump, Deep State Operatives, At DOJ, FBI, & CIA

Appearing on MSNBC to talk to Lawfare ally Nicole Wallace, wife of New York Times narrative engineer Michael Schmidt – the guy who received leaks from FBI Director James Comey via Daniel Richman, former CIA Director John Brennan notes there are “legions” of operatives still embedded within the DOJ, FBI and CIA who are working against President Donald Trump.

This is not a surprise as we have noted the Trump administration continues to take apart the tentacles of Lawfare and Intelligence operatives in Main Justice, various U.S. Attorney offices, FBI Headquarters, FBI field offices and various Intelligence Community silos.

Marco Rubio has been working to clean up the National Security Council as well as the State Department operations, including USAID. Tulsi Gabbard and John Ratcliffe have been working on the NSA and CIA collaboratively, and Todd Blanche has been working through the Dept of Justice. FBI Director Kash Patel has removed about ten percent of the problem in his agency.

The core problem goes back to what we outlined on these pages {GO DEEP} and is not limited to those operatives who remain from the Obama/Biden era. Some of the problems surface as a result of ‘republican’ voices recommending “sleeper cell” staff and sketchy personnel for positions in the administration. [I’ll put an example below]

One way to tell if the agency head or leader understands the challenge is by paying attention to how they talk about the agency’s mission objective.

Serious. Has a spine. No wonder he’s leaving Congress.

Rep. Don Bacon (R-Nebraska) isn’t seeking reelection. That’s a loss for the country.

Don Bacon is going home to Omaha. His departure illustrates a conundrum inside a paradox: Those you wish would leave Congress linger. And those you wish would stay depart because of traits that make them worthy legislators: seriousness and spines.

Bacon, a Republican, is leaving without rancor, but with stories that suggest why he thinks 10 years in the House of Representatives are enough for him. Herewith two stories:

He grew up on a farm in Kankakee County, Illinois. Inspired by Ronald Reagan’s reinvigoration of the military, Bacon, upon graduating from Northern Illinois University in 1984, commissioned in the Air Force. He retired, after almost 30 years, as a brigadier general. Having come to Congress from a serious job — intelligence; electronic warfare — he has finite patience for childishness, such as the Army base “renaming reversions” debacle.

Putin’s War Comes Home to Moscow

He can no longer hide the consequences from the Russian public.

Four years ago, President Vladimir Putin offered Moscow and its business elite a de facto deal: Support my war in Ukraine, and in exchange you won’t have to think about it. In the past week, that deal was broken.

Not that Moscow was ever fully immune: As long ago as May 3, 2023, the first two Ukrainian drones to reach Moscow exploded over the Kremlin, doing no damage but revealing that the capital’s air defenses weren’t as stellar as advertised—and that the war wasn’t as far away as Muscovites assumed. Eventually, the Ukrainians shifted their efforts toward Moscow’s airports, using drones dozens of times to buzz the runways or circle the airports, deliberately creating travel chaos and expense.

Last week, the whining noise of unmanned flying objects could be heard in the city of Moscow once again. On the morning of May 7, the mayor of Moscow announced that the Russian air force had shot down hundreds of Ukrainian drones aimed at the city. Two days later, Moscow was due to host Russia’s annual May 9 military parade, a celebration linked very intimately with the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, who had revived this Soviet-era celebration of Stalin’s victory over Nazi Germany and his conquest of Europe.

Rubio Says Ukraine Built “the Strongest and Most Powerful” Army in Europe

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Ukraine now possesses the strongest military force in Europe, pointing to the country’s battlefield experience and the heavy losses suffered by Russian forces during the war.

Speaking to Fox News on May 14 while traveling to China, Rubio argued that Ukraine’s Armed Forces have evolved into Europe’s most capable combat force despite Russia’s larger population and military resources.

“If you look, the Russians are losing five times more soldiers per month than the Ukrainians, and Ukraine is a smaller country and has a smaller army,” Rubio said.

“However, it is worth clearly noting that the Ukrainian armed forces are currently the strongest and most powerful in all of Europe—obviously, to a significant extent due to the aid they have received, but also because of the combat experience they have gained,” he added.

Momentum Builds In Washington For Ukraine Support As Congress Forces House Vote

After months of political drift, support for Ukraine appears to be regaining momentum in Washington, with lawmakers, administration officials, and Ukrainian diplomats pushing forward on multiple fronts.

At the center of the congressional push is the Ukraine Support Act, legislation that would authorize more than $1 billion in direct security assistance for Kyiv, provide another $8 billion in loans, tighten sanctions on Russia, and limit presidential authority to unilaterally lift existing sanctions.

The bill was stalled for months amid resistance from Republicans in the House of Representatives and uncertainty over President Donald Trump’s approach toward Russia and Ukraine.

But on May 13, supporters managed to secure 218 signatures, enough to bypass House leadership and force the measure onto the House floor in the coming weeks. The bill is expected to be approved in the House although it appears likely to stall in the Senate.

America Has a Serious Literacy Problem on Its Hands

Anyone who has paid attention to the state of American public education knows we have serious problems. In places like Chicago and New York City, teachers — and teachers’ unions — see public schools not as houses of education and learning, but as indoctrination factories over which they wield tremendous power. And wield it they do. In those cities, students have been exposed to radical, far-Left ideologies that include pulling them out of school to “protest” on May Day and sneaking “fugitive pedagogy” into curricula. New York schools are facing a civil rights probe over anti-Israel, antisemitic indoctrination of students as young as five years old.

All that Leftist indoctrination takes time away from actual teaching, and — coupled with the massive learning loss from COVID-era lockdowns and remote learning — American students have seen a massive decline in their reading scores in the past decade.

In fact, scores have fallen in all but three states.

This includes this writer’s home state of Wisconsin, where students are lagging in the post-pandemic era.

China vs. America: Who the World Trades With Most

Twenty-five years ago, the United States was the world’s dominant trading power. Today, China has overtaken America as the top goods trading partner for most countries globally.

This map compares whether countries traded more with the U.S. or China in 2000 and 2025, based on total bilateral imports and exports using International Monetary Fund Direction of Trade Statistics data.

China’s rise was fueled by its emergence as the world’s manufacturing hub and surging demand for commodities like oil, copper, iron ore, and soybeans.
