“Cynical Ploy” used to reverse Trump advances on better health care
60 Plus Founder and Chairman Jim Martin Friday issued the following statement on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Enhancement Act:
“Here we go again.
House Democrats are exploiting the Chinese virus in their latest attempt to preserve the disastrous legacy of Obamacare and expand their vision of socialized medicine for America.
The so-called Patient Protection and Affordable Care Enhancement Act neither protects patients nor does it enhance affordable health care. It is yet another lie on the order of ‘If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor.’ We’ve heard this lie before and we’re hearing it again today.
This is a bad bill that seeks to overturn the efforts of President Donald Trump to unwind the worst parts of Obamacare. The price controls in this bill will invariably lead to making prescription drugs more scarce, which leads to rationing. The last thing seniors need is for Obamacare to come roaring back into their lives and jeopardizing their health care.
Using the Chinese virus as an excuse for bringing back the worst parts of Obamacare is an especially cynical ploy that plays on the fears of people, while simultaneously stifling research and development virus treatments and vaccines.
Democrats and their socialist allies across the nation are burning cities, toppling statues and rewriting American history. They should not be allowed to burn down the quality health care on which seniors have come to rely, topple the health care policies of the Trump administration and re-write the law to make their dream of socialized medicine a reality.
House Republicans and their colleagues in the Senate need to call-out this bill for what it is – an expansion of socialist policy that will hurt seniors and degrade their health care.”
