Putin’s Minions Mock Trump’s Peace Efforts – Democrats Still Out of Touch

I’ve done it over the years,” in discussing Putin using stalling tactics when negotiating agreements – Putin is NOT going to fool Trump.”

– President Donald Trump

There are 450 million Europeans. We should not be crying out for 340 million Americans to defend us against 140 million Russians, who are not even able to defeat 38 million Ukrainians.

So, we really need to take more responsibility onto our own shoulders, and to do that without delays, because the threats and urgency are already here.

– Andrius Kubilius, the European Commissioner for Defense Industry and Space

NATO is a defensive alliance. Russia is an invading nation. I stand with NATO.

– Congressman Don Bacon

The sheer amount of waste and fraud in the government, it is astonishing… it’s mind boggling. We routinely encounter wastes of $1 billion or more… casually.

– Elon Musk

I think Republicans aren’t interested in any lectures on accountability in the military after the Biden administration. The bar for getting rid of a secretary of defense is apparently pretty high: You can get 13 people killed and go AWOL and not tell the commander in chief, and that’s not a fireable offense.

He gives lectures about accountability and national security after letting 10 million people into the country who raped and murdered and committed violent acts and no remorse or accountability. No more lectures. No more lectures about natural security.

And I’m going to be lectured by the people who lied to the American people about the condition of the president? Oh my God. No way.

– CNN’s Scott Jennings

Liberals Double Standard: The “crisis” partisan Democrats are trying to spin up with the help of “mainstream media” is ironic and funny.

Funny… I don’t recall any of the Democrats calling for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s resignation when she was busted sending classified information over illegal computer servers… although I do remember evidence being destroyed?!?

No calls for Secretary Austin to resign after the Biden/Austin disastrous retreat in Afghanistan that lost 13 American soldiers, left countless allies behind, and armed the Taliban.

It’s gamesmanship like this that has the American voters saying, “this isn’t my parent’s, let alone my, Democrat Party.” Voters are smarter than politicians give them credit for!

I fear the Democrats’ only agenda now is to keep President Trump from fixing America’s problems.

Move on. There’s work to be done!

NATO-Ukraine-Russia: Let’s be frank, Putin’s Russia are the bad guys. They are the aggressors. They are the ones bombing civilian targets and kidnapping young children. They are the ones trying to steal other countries lands because someone speaks Russian.

How much of the U.S. are we ready/willing to give up because of those who speak Spanish… maybe Chinese… and don’t forget the Arabs.

It’s clear why Russia’s neighbors want to be in NATO. Russia IS the known security threat in the region.

But when politicos and people talk of Russia’s “legitimate security concerns,” one has to laugh. What are they? Who threatens Russia? Which neighboring country to the west, north, or south of it is interested in attacking it?!? Their only legitimate concern might be China.

Seriously, how can anyone say “Russia security concerns” with a straight face?

American Exceptionalism & Western Civilization: Too many fail to appreciate what it means to live in America or even Europe (still).

People from all over the world risk everything to come here… why? And yet we fail to hold onto those values that are uniquely American and tied to a greater view of Western Civilization.

People risk their lives to get here, while other countries build walls to keep their people in.

Terrorists try to destroy our culture, our way of life, instead of living in peace in their countries.

We now have the “enemy from within” trying to destroy our way of life, the rule of law, the respect for the individual, tolerance, and the right to disagree.

We are not perfect, not without sin. But we are still the greatest country in the world that most admire, strive to live in, and/or hate because of their failures/jealousy.

If you want to “share” in the American Dream, virtually everyone here will welcome you with open arms (legal immigration) and help you assimilate into society while respecting and appreciating your roots, culture, and religion.

But if you come here to destroy what so many have fought and died for…we’re not willing to give up just yet.

My advice… love it or leave it.

Unemployed, Laid Off & Paid Town Hall Meetings: The Democrats are working overtime to astro turf “public outrage” to Trump’s common-sense policies. Soros/AID backed NGOs are paying these “citizen protestors” to demonstrate against Trump and his policies.

Based on their protests and astro-turfed complaining at Congressional Town Hall Meetings you witness their absurd politics that throws common sense out the door.

They cry democracy is at risk, while doing all it can to stop a duly elected President… who, by the way, won both the popular vote and the Electoral College vote for the first time in a long time.

Laid- off government bureaucrats complain about job cuts… reckless tax savings.

Shutting down the Department of Education… as if it does anything to improve our children’s education… cut out the middleman.

Boys in girls’ sports are still in vogue… and don’t forget transgender mutilation.

They encourage disrupting university classes and events and shut down free speech that doesn’t agree with them… someone rationalizing support of Hamas terrorists is a good thing?

Encourage violent domestic terrorism threatening people’s jobs and retirements by attacking a company owned by someone they don’t like or agree with politically.

Selective Memory & Law Enforcement: Question to my liberal friends:

When President Trump flies a planeload of dangerous illegal alien criminal gang members out the country… it’s somehow illegal.

When President Biden flies in planeloads of over 300,000 illegal aliens into our country, without vetting, without vaccinations, without consideration to the cost & effects it has on local units of government, local schools, law enforcement, etc… but that’s OK?

The liberal/progressives in the federal judiciary turned a blind eye as millions of illegals flooded the country – citing “executive discretion” and refusing to intervene.

But the moment Trump acts to enforce the law and remove them, the same judges scream “unconstitutional” and try to block every move.

Democrats believe mass importation helps Democrats while mass deportation threatens their plan. This kind of partisan politics and lawfare is what is dangerous for democracy.

The liberal/progressive Democrats are sticking to their welfare state inspired political mantra: if you rob Peter to pay Paul, you can normally count on Paul’s support.

Sad.

Presidents Trump, Jefferson, Lincoln, and FDR

Most of today’s so-called experts totally misunderstand President Donald J. Trump’s daily activities. They fail to think about long strategic patterns and lack the historical knowledge to contextualize his behavior.

President Trump is rapidly growing a sense of Republican teamwork in Congress, state legislatures, and with governors across the country. If he keeps this pace, President Trump will clearly be in the same league as Presidents Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. All three built enormous national majorities. The 2026 election could be the watershed moment if Republicans gain in the House, Senate, and the states.

There are certain patterns which the great majority-making national leaders follow….

…If you keep these six principles in mind, they explain a great deal of President Trump’s daily behavior and the strategic patterns he is forging.

All Quiet on the Southern Front: How the Border Has Changed Under Trump

The United States-Mexico border may be calmer than usual under President Donald Trump, but it is far from secure, according to a top Border Patrol official.

Since his inauguration on January 20, Trump has enacted significant changes, primarily through executive orders, with a focus on immigration. The Republican leader vowed to “seal the border,” and border crossings have plummeted under his iron fist. Trump’s actions involved enacting a comprehensive ban on asylum at the border and deploying additional military forces to bolster security.

Under the Trump administration, the southern border has experienced a significant decrease in illegal crossings, reaching lows not seen in decades. In February 2025, Border Patrol agents recorded approximately 8,347 apprehensions of migrants attempting to cross the border unlawfully between ports of entry, marking a 94.1 percent decrease compared to February 2024, when the number stood at 140,641.

Trump Isn’t Defying The Courts, He’s Defending The Constitution

The courts have an important constitutional role to fulfill. But it’s not to play president.

On March 7, I argued in The Federalist that President Donald Trump should ignore a Supreme Court that would allow lower courts to refuse to uphold the Constitution and instead encroach on executive authority. Recent new encroachments prove my point. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan has blocked the EPA from terminating $14 billion in climate grants awarded by the Biden administration, funds now sitting in a Citibank account. Judge Ana Reyes has ordered the military not to enforce Trump’s ban on trans-identifying service members.

These rulings are not mere disagreements, as Chief Justice John Roberts claimed last week when he rejected Trump’s call to impeach a judge who ruled against his deportation policy. They are direct assaults on the president’s constitutional power. I urged Trump to defy such orders then, and I stand by that now — Trump must confront the courts!

Since Jan. 20, a pattern of politically motivated judicial overreach has emerged. Chutkan’s decision overrides Trump’s executive authority to redirect the EPA, preserving Biden-era spending. Reyes’ ruling interferes with his control over military policy, a domain the Constitution assigns to the president and the president alone. In February, a Rhode Island judge forced the release of frozen federal funds, and multiple courts blocked Trump’s efforts to end funding for so-called “gender-affirming care” for minors.

These single district judges, often appointed by past Democrat administrations, issue nationwide injunctions that halt the president’s agenda. This is not judicial review — it is judicial governance. Roberts’ call for “normal appellate review” ignores the reality: Unelected judges are hijacking executive policies in the name of judicial review, and while appeals wind through the courts, executive action stalls, sometimes for years.

The Lengths Democrats Are Willing to Go to Stop Trump

Hello, this is Victor Davis Hanson for The Daily Signal. I want to apologize to you.

I have been writing columns and have suggested to you in these videos that the Democrats didn’t have an agenda. In other words, they were just nihilists. But I went back and looked at everything they’ve said, everything they’ve written, what their surrogates and the media have done, and I discovered they do have a counter-agenda. They really do. And it’s organized.

And I want to give it a fair hearing right now. So, I wrote down 10 things that I think are thematic of the Democratic agenda that offers an alternative to President Donald Trump.

The first is that Donald Trump must be considered, as Chris Matthews just said, a Mussolini-like figure. He must be opposed in every aspect. He must be demonized. Everything he does is evil.

How to Destroy the Democratic Party in Four Easy Steps

Two of the top conservative thinkers in America are Ben Shapiro, the head honcho of The Daily Wire, and Morton Blackwell, the lead dog of the Leadership Institute. Shapiro is more famous, but Blackwell is probably more influential: The Leadership Institute has been around since the late 1970s, training tens of thousands of conservative activists. Included amongst its alumni are GOP senators, congressmen, governors, cabinet members… and at least one PJ Media writer (Hi!).

As for Shapiro, he’s matured into a leading voice for conservatism. His proficiency with social media is widely admired (and often copied), but seldom equaled. Of all the voices in media, he’s the closest thing we have today to a Rush Limbaugh: A bold, unapologetic voice who powerfully communicates complex conservative principles. He lacks the humor, gleeful irreverence, and “panache” of Limbaugh, but he’s tailormade for today’s information age, and The Daily Wire is now the media outlet of choice for millions of young Americans.

That’s a hell of an accomplishment.

Blackwell and Shapiro have gotten a lot right, but there’s a key area where they’re absolutely wrong — and it ties into the existential challenges facing the Democratic Party…

…It’s far easier to destroy than to build, and feelings don’t care about your facts. With this in mind, here’s how to destroy the Democratic Party in four easy steps.

First, divide the Democratic Party from its base. STATUS: IN PROGRESS.

Second, capture left-leaning libertarians. STATUS: NOT YET.

Third, push the Democrats into increasingly radical positions. STATUS: IN PROGRESS.

Fourth, eliminate the Democrats’ raison d’être, and thus discredit their existing leadership. STATUS: IN PROGRESS.

Behind the Curtain: Dems’ dark, deep hole

Top Democrats tell us their party is in its deepest hole in nearly 50 years — and they fear things could actually get worse:

The party has its lowest favorability ever.

No popular national leader to help improve it.

Insufficient numbers to stop most legislation in Congress.

A durable minority on the Supreme Court.

Dwindling influence over the media ecosystem, with right-leaning podcasters and social media accounts ascendant.

Young voters are growing dramatically more conservative.

A bad 2026 map for Senate races.

Democratic Senate retirements could make it harder for the party to flip the House, with members tempted by statewide races.

There are only three House Republicans in districts former Vice President Harris won in 2024, a dim sign for a Democratic surge. There were 23 eight years ago in seats Hillary Clinton won.

And, thanks to the number of people fleeing blue states, the math for a Dem to win the presidency will just get harder in 2030.

Michigan Needs Mike Cox for Governor

Michigan is a key battleground for 2028, and the fight starts now.

The key to winning in 2028 is being smart about who to support for the governor’s seat in 2026.

Many names are being thrown around, but the need to keep Republican control of the House and Senate for President Trump in 2027 and 2028 (and for the MAGA movement as a whole beyond 2028) limits the pool for governor.

So, let me suggest someone who grew up the son of a carpenter and domestic maid in a working-class neighborhood, and—like JD Vance—enlisted in the Marine Corps. From there, he became a homicide prosecutor in Detroit and then won statewide office as a pre-Trump tea party populist and working-class warrior.

Former Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox is looking at running, and he fits the bill of what the Republican Party needs in 2026. He won the closest statewide race in at least 50 years when he defeated Gary Peters by 5,200 votes–a razor-thin, 0.17 percent margin that was even more of a squeaker than when President Trump won Michigan in 2016 by 10,700 votes and a 0.23 percent margin. Mike won despite the top of the ticket in Michigan losing, and he beat retiring U.S. Senator Gary Peters in that race—handing Peters the only general election loss he’s ever had. (Full disclosure: I helped Mike in that race). In 2006, Cox again won by nine percent, despite Republicans losing the Governor’s and Senate races by large margins.

Woke lawyers almost ended America. BigLaw isn’t neutral — it’s the enforcement arm of the Left

Let me comment on what’s going on with the prominent law firms, often called BigLaw (a world I come out of but have been unjustly canceled from due to allegations both fake and which profoundly misunderstand how Article II of the Constitution and its adjacent legal privileges work — but that is a somewhat separate topic I can deal with later, though it is related).

We came dangerously close from 2020-2024 to one party achieving a political monopoly and effectively ending the American Republic, leaving us with a veneer of a Constitution, but in reality a non-Constitution or anti-Constitution dreamed up on a case-by-case basis by activists in robes that the Left planned to pack onto the U.S. Supreme Court and onto the lower courts.

The struggles President Trump is having with the courts right now are just part of the aftermath of how close we were to going over the brink.

One of the leverage points that led us to that potential political monopoly is a BigLaw monopoly, in turn abetted by a Top 25 Law School faculty monopoly — and indeed by a collegiate and elementary and secondary school ideologic monopoly.

The law professors are predominantly on the Left and they brainwash entire generations of students to move to the Left or move yet more to the Left than when they entered law school.

Then those students populate BigLaw, make partner, and they run the law firms as functional extensions of the Left as well its main party and its NGOs.

Virtually all pro bono work is then done to benefit the Left, except a case here or there taken on as a token that is designed to let the firm in question claim on paper to be even-handed.

Fantasy and Reality about Putin and the Kremlin

Officially, Steve Witkoff is President Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East. But he is also involved in U.S. policy toward Russia. Of the recent phone call between Trump and Putin, Witkoff said, “It was these two great leaders coming together for the betterment of mankind, and it was honestly a privilege and an honor for me to sit there and listen to that conversation.”

Anyone who believes that Putin is interested in the betterment of mankind is dangerously naïve about Putin and his Kremlin. As for “great leaders” . . .

Leave Trump aside for a moment, concentrating on Putin. I myself do not regard Putin as a great leader. He is a tyrant, who murders, maims, or imprisons his critics; who has abolished civil society and independent media in Russia; who has invaded a neighbor, engulfing that country in violence, for the purpose of crushing and subjugating it.

In Ukraine, Russian forces have committed mass murder, mass rape, mass torture, mass kidnapping, and so forth.

No, I do not regard Putin as a great leader. He is a disaster for millions, like the predecessors he admires, including Stalin and Andropov.

EU imports of Russian fossil fuels in third year of invasion surpass financial aid sent to Ukraine

Tighter sanctions that undercut Russian countermeasures can slash Kremlin revenues by 20% annually

Despite a range of sanctions and the threat posed by dependence on Russian energy, in the third year of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, EU imports of Russian fossil fuels in particular remain largely unchanged, totalling EUR 21.9 bn, a 6% year-on-year drop in value but merely a 1% year-on-year drop in volumes.

Notably, EU imports of Russian fossil fuels in the third year of the invasion surpassed the EUR 18.7 bn of financial aid they sent to Ukraine in 2024.

Russia’s total global fossil fuel earnings in the third year of the invasion also reached EUR 242 bn and have totalled EUR 847 bn since the start of the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

Russia’s stronghold over new markets also solidified in the third year of the invasion. The three biggest buyers of Russian fossil fuels, China (EUR 78 bn), India (EUR 49 bn), and Turkey (EUR 34 bn) were responsible for 74% of Russia’s total revenues from fossil fuels in the third year of the invasion. The value of India and Turkey’s imports saw a year-on-year increase of 8% and 6% respectively.

How Will Russia Reconstitute Its Military After the Ukraine Conflict?

Key Findings

While the ultimate resolution of the war in Ukraine is still uncertain, the way in which the conflict ends will inform the lessons that Russia learns from the conflict and, by extension, the decisions that Russia makes about reconstituting its military.

Many economic and demographic factors will play an influential role in shaping the reconstitution process, as will Russia’s relationships with its key partners, including China, Iran, Belarus, and North Korea.

The consensus is that Russia will continue to emphasize mass, conscription, mobilization, and nuclear capabilities in its military. However, four alternative pathways to reconstitution merit consideration because Russia will likely implement a hybrid approach, and changes in military culture would have an enormous impact not just on the military but also on national security decisionmaking after the Ukraine conflict.

Although the speed of reconstitution is a key variable for U.S. and allied planners, this research focuses instead on the nature of the reconstituted Russian military. RAND researchers explore factors shaping Russia’s decisions about how it will reconstitute its forces to suit the Kremlin’s future military objectives, particularly with respect to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

A partially reconstituted Russian military will still pose a significant—and potentially more unpredictable—threat to U.S. and Western interests in the European theater, complicating U.S. and allied planning efforts.

Barack Obama Was Using USAID to Pretend to Send ‘Aid’ Overseas But Was Laundering It to Train ‘Rent-a-Riots’ Instead

Mike Benz, the founder of the Foundation for Freedom Online, recently joined Joe Rogan on his very popular podcast The Joe Rogan Experience with over 19 million subscribers.

The podcast was filmed several weeks ago but a clip from this discussion is making the rounds this week on social media.

During their conversation, Mike Benz shared how Barack Obama was using money to USAID to pretend to send “aid” overseas. In actuality, Obama was laundering the taxpayer dollars and using it to train “rent-a-mobs” instead!

This is a huge development but maybe not so surprising considering how Democrats believe they can do anything they please. With other people’s money.

Mike Benz on Joe Rogan: “This was a scandal during the Obama USAID era. We were running a number of rogue USAID operations in Cuba at the time. — I’m simply showing the American people where your tax dollars are going and how these things are structured in order to systematically fool you and to fool Congress and to fool the White House.

Cory Mills introduces bill to close loopholes in birthright citizenship

Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) introduced a bill to close loopholes in obtaining birthright citizenship as President Donald Trump attempts to end the citizenship guarantee through executive order.

The Prohibiting Automatic Rights to Enter National Territory Act of 2025, or PARENT Act, would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to clarify the qualifications for birthright citizenship. Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) co-sponsored the bill.

Mills’s bill would add the statement, “For purposes of section 301(a), the term ‘subject to the jurisdiction thereof’ means, with respect to a person born in the United States, that the person was born to a parent who is, at the time of the person’s birth, a citizen of the United States or an alien who is a lawful permanent resident of the United States,” to the end of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

Mills told the Washington Examiner in a statement that the bill is intended to end loopholes and support Trump’s immigration efforts.

“For decades, criminal migrants have exploited loopholes in our immigration system, undermining our nation’s sovereignty, straining taxpayer resources, and ignoring the rule of law,” Mills said. “By amending the Immigration and Nationality Act, the PARENT Act seeks to end the abuse and reaffirm the principles of American citizenship and our Constitutional Republic.”

The Meager Agenda of Abundance Liberals

What the Democratic Party’s most buzzed-about policy movement gets right—and wrong.

Donald Trump’s victory last November and his shock and-awe first two months have left his opponents stunned, disoriented, and struggling to regain their bearings. For Democratic politicians, donors, pundits, and activists as well as center-right Never Trumpers, the most immediate task has been to slow down the assault on the country’s democratic institutions led by the oligarch Elon Musk. But the opposition is also engaged in a vigorous internal debate about what the Biden administration and the Democratic Party did wrong and what a new, more electorally successful agenda might look like. While many potential contenders are vying to define that agenda, one early favorite is a group of thinkers known as “abundance liberals” (or sometimes “supply-side progressives”).

If you are a regular reader or listener of the columnist and podcaster Ezra Klein of The New York Times, or the Substack blogger Matt Yglesias, or Jerusalem Demsas and Derek Thompson of The Atlantic, you are probably at least somewhat familiar with this perspective. Its central premise is that excessive red tape—from federal environmental statutes to local zoning rules to government agency procedures—is driving up the costs and slowing down the building of things the country desperately needs, from new housing to clean energy infrastructure.

While abundance liberals don’t all agree on everything, they are united by an overarching aim of a world of plenty: clean air, clean water, cheap renewable energy, affordable housing, high-speed rail, and an efficient, modernized electrical transmission grid. To bring us all that, they would unleash the full potential of nuclear and geothermal power, of liquified natural gas to complement renewables, of desalination, AI, and other technologies of the future that they believe can lift billions out of poverty and greatly improve living standards at home and abroad, all without devastating the planet.
