Saul Anuzis Named President of 60 Plus Association

Former Michigan GOP Chairman Takes Leading Role in Succession Plan

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia (April 3, 2018) – 60 Plus Association Founder and Chairman James Martin today announced that former Michigan Republican Party Chairman Saul Anuzis has been selected as President of the 60 Plus Association.

“We are thrilled that Saul Anuzis has accepted this critical role in our organization,” said Martin. “Saul brings an impressive array of skills and experience to this position and we look forward to including him in the organization’s succession plan. Saul will be a tremendous asset to the American Association of Senior Citizens and our millions of supporters.”

In addition to serving two terms as Michigan GOP Chairman from 2005 through 2009, Anuzis was also the Michigan Republican State Committeeman from 2010 until 2012. He was a candidate for the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee in 2009 and 2011, and served as chairman of the RNC’s Committee on Technology under former chairmen Reince Priebus and Michael Steele.

“It is an honor to serve the 60 Plus Association,” said Anuzis. “I’m proud to be Jim Martin’s partner in guiding the nation’s premiere center-right senior’s organization into the future, and doing everything I can to advance the issues that are critically important to America’s seniors and their families.”

Martin cited Anuzis’s experience in government, politics and diplomacy as, “the exact skill set that can bring 60 Plus to a higher level and grow the organization in the coming years.”
Anuzis also serves on the National Rifle Association Board’s Public Affairs Committee, and was senior advisor to U.S. Senator Ted Cruz during the 2016 presidential primary campaign.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has called Anuzis, “one of the greatest state chairmen in the Republican Party,” and the Wall Street Journal described Anuzis as, “doing exactly the right thing to bring Republicans back to majority status.”
