Taxing Social Security: Hats off to Congressman Tom Massie for introducing a bill to eliminate taxing senior citizens Social Security payments. Seniors have paid into the system their entire working lives and for many, this is the primary source of retirement income.
Taxing Social Security just doesn’t make sense. We feed “the beast” and see BILLIONS of dollars wasted on silly programs. Let seniors keep more of their retirement income.
The 60 Plus Association, the American Association of Senior Citizens proudly presented Congressman Tom Massie with our “Legislator of the Month” award for his efforts on behalf of senior citizens!
Peace in Ukraine: This isn’t rocket science. Russia should pull its troops out of Ukraine and stop harassing its neighbors. Co-exist with sovereign countries and neighbors around you and we’ll have peace and prosperity worldwide.
Putin can end this war tomorrow. No one has attacked Russia or threatened them.
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov made one of his most outrageous Orwellian statements to date: ‘Russia does not want to attack anyone. It was the USA that attacked Russia through the hands of the Ukrainian regime.’
The Budapest Memorandum was signed 30 years ago this week. In exchange for Ukraine’s nuclear arsenal (the third largest in the world), Russia, the UK, and the USA committed to honoring and indeed protecting Ukraine’s national sovereignty and borders, not least against nuclear attack or threat.
ONLY Russia hasn’t lived up to their agreement…again.
Respect your borders and your neighbor’s borders and we have peace!
Pardons: An 11-year, everything is covered pardon by President Biden to his son Hunter, who is behind all the “questionable” potentially illegal activities of the Biden family. History will probably judge Biden poorly, as the most corrupt, politically motivated and destructive presidency in our history. Sad.
More Pardons: This is outrageous… pardoning politicos who “might” be charged with crimes related to politics? It’s actions like this that destroy the American people’s trust in our system of government.
Mainstream Media has all but destroyed their credibility.
Liberal Activist Judges have confirmed the politicization of the legal/judicial system.
Hypocritical Politicians continue to decay citizens trust in our system of governance.
Questionable Elections put the entire democratic experiment at risk.
Why is honest, transparent, and efficient government and elections so hard to accomplish? Why can’t justice be blind?
Liberal/Progressive political activists at every level thwart reforms.

Senate report finds only six percent of federal employees work in-person full-time
Ernst accused the federal agencies of abusing telework options, and costing the American people billions of taxpayer dollars to operate government buildings that are not even half full
Iowa Republican Sen. Joni Ernst on Thursday published a Senate report that found that only 6% of the federal workforce is doing their jobs fully in person, and one third is working fully remote.
The senator began her investigation into the role of telework in the federal government last year.
Ernst accused the federal agencies of abusing telework options, and costing the American people billions of taxpayer dollars to operate government buildings that are not even half full. The average occupancy rate of a major agency headquarter in Washington, D.C., is just 12%, the 60-page report disclosed.
“For years, I have been tracking down bureaucrats relaxing in bubble baths, playing golf, getting arrested, and doing just about everything besides their job,” Ernst said in a statement. “It would almost be funny if it wasn’t happening on the taxpayers’ dime and at the expense of veterans, seniors, small business owners, and Americans in need of competent service from government agencies. Federal employees need to return to work, but if they don’t want to, I will make their wish come true.”
The report comes ahead of a second Donald Trump administration, which has promised to greatly reform the federal government. Trump has tapped billionaires Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead a new department called the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is tasked with reducing federal spending.
FBI Here’s what Kash Patel’s former colleagues are saying about him
Patel was a federal prosecutor who has become a big figure in national security and counterterrorism
President-elect Trump has nominated Kash Patel to be the next FBI director, a person with an extensive background in national security and intelligence.
Patel’s experience ranges from personally carrying out dangerous missions in the Middle East in an effort to bring home U.S. hostages to implementing counterterrorism strategies against America’s most-wanted terrorists. Current and former U.S. national security officials and lawmakers say that when looking at his résumé “objectively,” he is “one of the most experienced people ever to be nominated” to lead the bureau.
During the first Trump administration, Patel served as a deputy assistant to Trump and as senior director for counterterrorism. In that role, Patel was involved in presidential missions aimed at decimating Al-Qaeda senior leadership and ISIS command and control. Patel was involved in the planning of the mission to take out Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, among others.
Stephen Miller: Trump will tell at-home federal workers to return to office
Stephen Miller, who has been tapped to serve as White House deputy chief of staff for policy, says President-elect Trump will order federal workers to return to the office and not work remotely.
“When Donald Trump is inaugurated on Jan. 20 and that new golden age of America begins, he’s going to tell the federal workers of this country who your viewers pay for to get back into the office and do their jobs or find another line of work,” Miller told Fox News’s Jesse Watters during an interview.
Ensuring federal workers work in the office has become a priority for Trump and his allies, including Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, the businessmen selected by the president-elect to lead a new “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE).
Just how many federal workers are not coming to the office of work is a point of debate.
Musk on Thursday highlighted a report released by Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst’s (R) office that found that 6 percent of government employees “report in-person on a full-time basis” and one-third of federal workers are “entirely remote.”
Musk argued the real number of federal workers showing up could be even lower, saying the number of workers, excluding security and maintenance, who show up 40 hours per week on site is less than 1 percent.
Legacy media have no business lecturing anyone about the ‘truth’
In his new, much-talked-about Atlantic essay, George Packer contends that journalists “will have a special challenge” in the era of President-elect Donald Trump. “We’re living,” he writes, “in a world where facts instantly perish upon contact with human minds.”
For those unfamiliar with Packer’s work, he’s a celebrated author of numerous books, including one that purports to tell the story of America’s “unwinding.” Packer, a cultural anthropologist and psychiatrist, wraps the usual milquetoast conventional leftist wisdom in the kind of melodramatic prose that impresses well-heeled progressives.
But perhaps the most corrosive problem with contemporary journalism is that it acts as if Trump poses a uniquely dangerous threat to the country, necessitating reporters to drop many of their ethical standards to engage in a defense of “democracy.”
Contra Packer’s contention, “human minds” — the best minds around, I say — are no more inclined to dismiss facts today than they were in the past. Conspiracizing has always been a part of American politics. The Atlantic, for instance, just hired a writer who contends there’s a high probability that Trump was recruited by the KGB in the late 1980s and remains a Russian asset. It is what it is.
The critical difference is that these days, even genuinely curious people can no longer trust the Fourth Estate to help them discern what is and isn’t real. Rather than meeting the challenges of the social media age with more careful, professional, ethical, broad-minded journalism, big media have gone in a different direction, destroying trust in the entire institution.
Rep. Tiffany: China is using Mariana Islands to obtain US birthright citizenship for children
Representative Tom Tiffany (R-WI) says Chinese citizens are traveling to the Northern Mariana Islands, a U.S. territory in the western Pacific Ocean, in order to establish birthright citizenship for their children. “There are more children being born to Chinese nationals than there is to native people of the Marianas. And that tells you everything you need to know,” he says.

In Praise of Giorgia Meloni’s Handling of a Migration Crisis
A continent once widely skeptical of Giorgia Meloni now looks to the Italian prime minister for a solution to the problem of rampant mass migration in Europe.
A core tenet of Meloni’s 2022 campaign involved curbing illegal immigration flows to Italy.
Italian dissatisfaction with the crisis partially propelled Meloni’s political success, as mass waves of migration disproportionately affect the European Union border state.
Indeed, Italy’s southernmost tip, Lampedusa, more than earned its nickname as the “gateway to Europe.” In 2023, over 6,000 migrants entered the island in a single day.
The European Union’s so-called Dublin Regulation exacerbates the problem by requiring migrants to be processed in the first country they enter.
Eric Adams hints he could leave Democratic Party to join Republicans
New York City Mayor Eric Adams hinted that he might switch to the Republican Party.
The embattled Democratic mayor has undergone a significant rebrand in recent months, increasingly warming to President-elect Donald Trump and the Republican Party. In two interviews, Adams hinted that he may go the extra step and switch parties altogether.
“I’m a part of the American party,” he responded in an appearance on NY1 when asked if he would return to the Republican Party, of which he was a member from 1995 to 2002. “I love this country.”
In a later appearance on PIX11, Adams was asked to clarify his remarks further.
“No matter what party I’m on or vote on, I’m going to push for American values,” he said, Politico reported.
He went on to say that officials should move beyond parties altogether and focus on bipartisanship to address voters’ concerns.
