Trump’s Cabinet – Very Impressive!

We will stand bravely, dream boldly, and nothing will stand in our way, because we are Americans. The future is ours, AND OUR GOLDEN AGE HAS JUST BEGUN.

Confirmation Hearings: Wow, President Trump has picked some talented, articulate, committed Constitutionalists for his cabinet. I don’t know how you could listen to these hearings and not be impressed and comforted by who will help lead our country.

FBI Kash Patel, DNI Tulsi Gabbard, AG Pam Bondi, UN Elise Stefanik, Interior Doug Burgum, EPA Lee Zeldin and Homeland Security Kristi Noem… I mean damn, America is back!

Michigan Democrats Have Got a Problem: Almost unbelievable. In a state with so many accomplished, although misguided liberal Democrats, a failed former Secretary of Transportation is emerging as the most talked-about potential U.S. Senate candidate… the former Mayor of South Bend, Indiana—Pete Buttigieg.

Really?!?

Michigan Democrats can’t find someone from Michigan to run and represent our home state?!?

It seems like Democrats in Michigan are just as much in a panic mode as the Democrats are nationally… the Trump Effect?!?

Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) Announces His Retirement: A partisan Democrat, but a good man. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing him going back to his days in the State Senate. He made a good name for himself in D.C., and you never could question his commitment to Michigan.

I wish him well…and know the joy grandchildren bring!

This Week: Senate Leader Thune says he is ready for reconciliation plan, President Trump offers federal workers a buyout to resign, and Senator Gary Peters announces he will not seek re-election!

Trump Is off to a Great Start

Trump’s bold actions on immigration, DEI, and fairness signal a high-energy, focused vision for America’s future, turning the tide and putting conservatives back on offense.

Like most Trump supporters, I consider his first term a mixed bag, with the capstone being the rigged election of 2020. This was not all his fault, obviously, but there were failures of execution along the way. Things were often disorganized; disloyal people were put in positions of power, while quality outsiders were not invited into the fold. Trump faced relentless opposition from the Democrats within the Deep State and had to have eyes on the back of his head because of turncoat Republicans like Paul Ryan.

As I wrote in an earlier piece, “Trump’s presidency will have little permanent effect if he does not devote himself to the task of reform. The first order of business . . . will be to take full charge of the bureaucracy.”

He seems to have taken the criticism to heart that he was great on the big picture but poor in execution. This time around, everything is different. The last week has been a whirlwind of activity, including many executive orders, each one more impressive and revolutionary than the last.

Trump proposes abolishment of federal income tax, bringing US back to ‘richest period’ in history

Instead of taxing US citizens, Trump wants to tariff and tax foreign nations

Pitching a monumental and potentially controversial proposal to his Republican allies, President Donald Trump is seemingly floating the idea of scrapping federal income taxes altogether.

“We had no income tax. The income tax came in…1913. As I said in my speech last week, instead of taxing our citizens to enrich foreign nations, we should be tariffing and taxing foreign nations to enrich our citizens,” Trump said during his conference address in Doral, Florida, on Monday.

“It’s time for the United States to return to the system that made us richer and more powerful than ever before,” he added. “You know, the United States in 1870 to 1913, all tariffs. And that was the richest period in the history of the United States, relatively speaking.”

The first federal income tax was passed on Feb. 25, 1913, as part of the 16th Amendment. This gave Congress constitutional authority to levy taxes on corporate and individual income, according to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Michigan’s Gary Peters won’t seek reelection to U.S. Senate. Here’s why

Gary Peters, Michigan’s senior senator and a former congressman, said he won’t seek reelection next year and will retire from the U.S. Senate when his second term ends in January 2027.

In an exclusive interview, the Bloomfield Township Democrat told The Detroit News that he is ready to leave public office in two years and move onto a “new chapter” that includes spending more time with his family ― particularly a new grandchild who lives on the West Coast.

“I always thought there would be a time that I would step aside and pass the reins for the next generation. I also never saw service in Congress as something you do your whole life,” said Peters, who was first elected to the Senate in 2014.

“And that goes back to 2008 when I first won that House seat. I thought it would be for a matter of a few terms that I would serve, and then I would go back to private life.”

Peters’ decision is likely to surprise many of his colleagues and ignite an intense scramble on both sides of the aisle for his seat in battleground Michigan.

At 66, Peters is relatively young for a U.S. senator, but after 10 years in the Senate and six in the House, he has decided to pass the torch to a younger generation. He has other things he wants to do, like finding “endless, winding roads” for his Harley Davidson, he said. It’s a decision he’s been mulling for several months.

Donald Trump’s Secret Sauce

Donald Trump, in spite of his background and wealth, is incredibly well connected to the common man.

Everything is backwards. For decades, blowhard Joe Biden pitched himself as “Joe from Scranton” or just another lunchbox working stiff. Kamala Harris told us so often that she grew up in the middle class that one might have concluded that she and her family alone were the middle class. On the other side of the ledger was Donald Trump, who used to brag, “I’m a really rich guy!” He is the one who went to war with Fortune magazine over his actual net worth, which they pegged far lower than he did. He grew up the son of a successful real estate father and continued in the trade, with towers bearing his name all over the world. Yet, it was the latter of the three who actually understood the needs of the common people.

If one looks at President Trump’s actions over the first few days of his second presidency, he has moved to rectify that which his predecessors threw out of whack. How absurd is DEI? Imagine a track race. At the finish line, the winner is a white woman, with a black woman taking a distant second. A track official comes over to the racers and puts the gold medal on the black woman, stating, “We declare you the winner. Whites have been winning these races for years. We want to fix that situation.” Nobody, not even the black runner, would agree to such nonsense. But that is the essence of DEI. One may be an incredible candidate, but he or she will be pushed aside to supposedly correct some great historical wrong by bringing in a far less capable individual. But those pursuing DEI strategies are the ones doing the wrong by pushing off the qualified and elevating the incompetent. Look to LA where even the Three Stooges could have done a better job than the mayor and her fire department leaders. With a few strokes of the pen, Donald Trump has started the long process of purging this derangement from the national body politic. But why would it take the action of billionaire Donald Trump to undo that which was pushed by the supposedly regulars Obama, Biden and Harris?

Democrats’ unfavorability rating reaches new high

Americans may not like the GOP, but they really don’t like the Democratic Party, a new poll has found.

The party of Jefferson, Jackson, Kennedy, Clinton, Obama and Biden holds a 57% unfavorable rating among voters, according to the Quinnipiac University survey released Wednesday, while just 31% of voters say they have a favorable view.

The Republican Party, meanwhile, has a 43% favorability rating among voters and a 45% unfavorability rating, per the poll.

The Democrats’ unfavorability rating is the highest since Quinnipiac pollsters began asking the question in November 2008. Similarly, the percentage of voters viewing the GOP favorably is the highest over the same period.

The brutal rating for Democrats comes as the party is licking its wounds from the 2024 election cycle, which saw all 50 states move to the right.

‘Just evil’: Top Republican details Russia’s ‘horrific’ mass abductions of Ukrainian children

Rep Michael McCaul compared Russia’s kidnapping of Ukrainian children to ‘Mengele’s experiments on kids’

More than 200,000 children have been abducted by Russia since the start of its invasion of Ukraine, Chairman Emeritus of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said, citing U.S. estimates.

“If a foreign adversary took 260,000 of our kids, and they were in indoctrination camps, I mean, how would we feel about that?” McCaul asked Fox News Digital.

The Texas Republican was recently term-limited in his time as chairman of the foreign affairs panel, but he is continuing to work on the world stage, in part by raising awareness about Russia’s atrocities in Ukraine. Among the most egregious is the relocation of thousands of Ukrainian children into Russia, the vast majority of whom have not been returned.

Some parents would be coerced into giving up their children because Russian forces were threatening to bomb their city, McCaul said, while other times “they just invade and capture the children.”

Mr. Biden’s Pardons: ‘Do Unto Others Then Split!’

Biden’s preemptive pardons turn justice into a shield for his allies, framing them as victims while projecting guilt onto opponents and undermining public trust in the rule of law.

The Left has an infinite capacity to project its sins upon others to paint themselves as the “real” victim. Nowhere is this more evident and instructive than in the last rounds of “preemptive” presidential pardons issued by exiting President Joe Biden. One can almost hear the anile sock puppet-in-chief whistling along to the Rolling Stones as his pen feebly scrawled his sullied name across the prophylactic papers: Just as every cop is a criminal, and all the sinners saints….

The initial wave of eleventh-hour preemptive pardons included General Mark Milley, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and current and former U.S. Representatives who served on the House January 6th committee, including Chair Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), Adam Kinzinger, Liz Cheney, and U.S. Capitol and D.C. Metropolitan police who testified at the hearings.

In issuing this set of preemptive pardons, Mr. Biden employed a tired trope to excuse his unconscionable abuse of power: Trump made me do it: “I believe in the rule of law, and I am optimistic that the strength of our legal institutions will ultimately prevail over politics. But these are exceptional circumstances, and I cannot in good conscience do nothing.”

Offering no evidence that he has a conscience, and ignoring the evidence that his doing something has invariably made things worse than if he had done nothing, Mr. Biden nonetheless proceeded to portray the recipients of his pardons as “dedicated, selfless public servants” who, despite their heroic deeds in service of our democracy, have faced “ongoing threats and intimidation for faithfully discharging their duties… In certain cases, some have even been threatened with criminal prosecutions.”

Therefore, assuming the role of the omnipotent arbiter of justice, Mr. Biden pardoned these individuals who are beyond reproach for… What? Nothing. Mr. Biden issued these preemptive pardons not because of something these individuals may have done. He is pardoning them to protect them from the presumptive sins of Donald Trump.

Liberal influencers are spreading bizarre fake news about Trump

“You can now discriminate against people for being black … for being a woman … and for being gay when hiring them.”

That’s what one TikTok influencer with more than 1 million followers confidently informed his audience on Thursday morning. To the unsuspecting viewer, this warning made for compelling and alarming consumption. Not only has President Donald Trump rolled back identity-politics programs inside the federal government, also known as diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, but he is rolling back civil rights law to the 1960s!

Just ask the liberal YouTube star Brian Tyler Cohen, who posted an image of Trump juxtaposed with Martin Luther King Jr. and said the new president was “rolling back 60 years of progress on civil rights.”

There’s just one pesky thing about this narrative, promoted by too many left-wing social media influencers to count. It isn’t remotely true.

In fact, what they’re saying doesn’t even make sense, if you understand civics 101. A president cannot revoke a federal law passed by Congress with an executive order, and employment discrimination on the basis of race, gender, and sexuality is prohibited by the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Trump couldn’t roll back those protections even if he tried to, which, to be clear, he didn’t.

JD Vance is already campaigning for Trump’s ‘third term’

A week after the November 2022 midterm elections, then-former President Donald Trump announced his 2024 presidential campaign. Over the next two years, he systematically steamrolled his primary opponents and triumphed over every imaginable political, electoral and legal obstacle to win a historic non-consecutive second term.

I was reminded of the president’s “start-early” strategy on the morning after Inauguration Day when I received a Trump campaign fundraising email e-signed by Vice President JD Vance — less than 24 hours after taking office. From my perspective, the email silently screamed, “Vance 2028!”

The newly minted vice president chronicled his “I grew up poor in the Rust Belt” biography and the “incredible journey that led me here.” Vance recounted Trump’s words when asking him to join the ticket: ‘I think we’ve gotta go save this country,” Trump had said. “I think you’re the guy who could help me in the best way. You can help me govern, you could help me win.’”

The closing paragraph read like a typical campaign solicitation: “President Trump and I are ready to keep the American Dream alive for future generations …” followed by a request for “even just $5 — to support our new administration.”

Considering the email’s post-inauguration timing, I took Vance to mean that MAGA Nation must look to the future, since Trump is a lame duck. As the natural 2028 front-runner, he is already doing the work of securing the GOP nomination and looking to extend triumphant Trumpism through Jan. 20, 2037.

The Case Against Birthright Citizenship

One of Trump’s most daring executive now declares that citizenship rights should be denied to children whose mother under current was “unlawfully present in the United States” or whose presence in the United States was “lawful but temporary,” but only if that person’s father “was not a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident at the time of said person’s birth.” That general command was subject to two key qualifications. The first is that it did not take effect until 30 days after the order, which grandfathered out of the E.O. all individuals who became birthright citizens as the children of both illegal aliens and sojourners into the U.S. The E.O. rightly did nothing to undo the current status whereby the children of lawful permanent residents were entitled to obtain the documents needed to certify their citizenship.

As a matter of first principle, it is hard to think of any good reason why legal and illegal conduct should be treated identically. A person who kills without justification or excuse is a murderer, who is properly treated quite differently from someone who kills in self-defense. Indeed, the entire civil and criminal law is organized to suppress illegal conduct and to support legal conduct. But the opposite is true with birthright citizenship, which gives a strong spur for illegal conduct. Therefore, to the uninitiated, it should come as a surprise that the dominant view in the United States, ably expressed by, now a Fifth Circuit Court judge is that the history and text of the Fourteenth Amendment require the constitutional protection of birthright citizenship, by arguments from text and history, without asking about the undesirable incentive structures created by these rules. Indeed, that position is so engrained in American legal culture that federal court Judge and Reagan appointee John Coughenour, in a short written in response to a filed by the states of Washington, Arizona, Illinois, and Oregon, held that there was a “strong likelihood” that the plaintiffs would win on the merits, citing, without analysis, as his key legal authority (1898).

Can we at least put a stop to ‘birth tourism’?

President Trump ignited a flurry of activity with his executive order attempting to stop “birthright citizenship” — the constitutional provision that all children born on U.S. soil (including the territories) automatically become U.S. citizens. Based on the first judge to rule on Trump’s EO, it appears the administration faces an uphill battle in the courts. But whatever the courts decide on birthright citizenship, Americans should at least be able to agree that the practice of “birth tourism” is an abuse of the system and should be stopped.

Birth tourism is when pregnant women from other countries enter the United States for the purpose of having their child, who under the 14th Amendment automatically becomes a U.S. citizen, usually returning home thereafter.

For example, the health policy news site Fierce Healthcare wrote in 2009, “Of late, a growing number of well-to-do Mexican mothers have been coming to the U.S. to have their babies, who automatically get American citizenship since they were born on U.S. soil.” One Arizona medical facility marketed “a ‘birth package’ offering cutting edge technology, cozy settings and the chance for mothers to grant their babies American citizenship.” The facility even posted its (2009) prices: $2,300 for a vaginal birth and $4,600 for a c-section.

‘No Immigrant Should Be Detained,’ Says Left-Wing Nonprofit With $769 Million Federal Immigration Contract

The D.C.-based Acacia Center for Justice is squarely at odds with the Trump administration

A left-wing group that serves as the lead contractor for a massive federal immigration contract claims the immigration system is “intentionally designed” to exploit “Black and brown people,” opposes the use of police officers for “immigration purposes,” and says “no immigrant should be detained.”

Acacia Center for Justice, based in Washington, D.C., is one of the largest federal immigration contractors, overseeing a $769 million program that provides lawyers for unaccompanied alien children and adults in immigration court hearings and deportation proceedings.

The group says its aim is to provide due process rights for illegal aliens. But it also calls for a radical upheaval of the immigration and deportation system—goals that are starkly at odds with the Trump administration’s objectives.

Launched in 2022, Acacia Center argues that “no immigrant should be detained” and that electronic surveillance to track illegal aliens “must be abolished.” According to the center, “the use of local law enforcement for immigration purposes … must be dismantled.”

It maintains that the immigration detention and deportation system is “intentionally designed to exploit, exclude, criminalize, detain and deport” people deemed to be “undeserving of inclusion in our national fabric, particularly Black and brown people.”

That puts it squarely at odds with the Trump administration, which has pledged to increase deportations of illegal aliens dramatically. The administration has threatened to pull federal funds from sanctuary cities and states that prohibit local law enforcement from cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. Trump has ordered federal agencies to shut down the kinds of diversity, equity, and inclusion policies pushed by the Acacia Center.
