(Alexandria, Virginia) – Former Marine and current 60 Plus Association Chairman Jim Martin issued the following statement commemorating Memorial Day:

“Today is a solemn day, set aside explicitly to remember the men and women of our Armed Forces who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. They selflessly put their love of family, flag and country first, and sacrificed their own lives for their ‘last full measure of devotion’ to us, as a great American so eloquently stated.

“While we can never adequately thank them, let us honor their memory by never failing to preserve and defend the freedoms they fought and died for.  May God bless them all, and may God continue to bless America.”
