All Americans, especially seniors, want and deserve affordable and accessible healthcare. But attaining that goal will be next to impossible under the Obama Administration’s proposal.

Jim Martin, at a counter rally to an event organized on Capitol Hill by MoveOn.org, criticized the group while praising the long overdue prescription drug benefit. There’s an old saying that a lie can travel half way around the world before the truth can get its shoes on. Well the truth has now arrived.

The legislation on drug reimportation proposed recently by Senator John McCain is both unwise and unhealthy. And in fact, the Senator’s plan should be labeled, ‘Hazardous To Your Health.’ President Bush just signed into law legislation crafted by Congress to provide a prescription drug benefit while improving access to generic drugs for all Americans, negating the need to go outside the U.S. for drugs. The 60 Plus Association endorsed this long overdue proposal.
